We have been blessed to get to know and support Moses Ssekyanzi, an inspiring young man in Uganda committed to acting as the hands and feet of Jesus in the location God has placed him.

Right now, that means working to better the lives of women and girls, who face countless hardships in Uganda.

He is partnering with and raising awareness for Forward It Charity Organization, and we would love to see them meet their goal in
raising $2,200 to provide health Sanitary Reusable Pads to girls living in extreme poverty in Northern Uganda, those who still suffer the effects of period poverty.

Thank you for opening our eyes to this, Moses, and inviting us to participate in what God is doing in Uganda!

Announcing our October 2021 Packwood Shalom Days sharing recipient at the Presbyterian Thrift & Gift: the Fire Mountain Arts Council!
FMAC is geographically the furthest organization from Packwood that we have supported, but the range of their incredibly valuable work and mission is county-wide! We are delighted to support their work, which truly helps cultivate and foster the kind of "Shalom" - wholeness, well-being, holistitic thriving - that we want to support and embrace for our community!

UPDATE - This week (9/22 - 9/25) we are accepting SOME small donations - books, movies, music, puzzles and games, kitchen supplies, knick knacks, sporting goods, and other small household items. (Please call the store if you have questions about donations - 360-523-369.

We are NOT accepting unscheduled donations of FURNITURE, CLOTHING, or any LINENS (blankets, sheets, pillows, towels), as we are extremely backed up - overstocked and understaffed in those areas, at the moment. Thank you for understanding! We hope to be back to taking all donations by the end of September.

No donations at the Presbyterian Thrift & Gift until further notice!

We received a record number of donations the week following the Labor Day Flea Market. We are so grateful for donations, but for building safety and for volunteer sanity, we need to cut off all unscheduled donations, for at least the rest of this week. Thank you for understanding!

Please call ahead (360-523-3691) if you would like to speak with someone at the store about donating.
