A lot of them, service men and women didn’t make to sanity. Pain and depression are their constant companion. Opioids and antidepressants were easy to dispense, yet they are denied of a dignified living and a wholistic rehabilitation.

Those who made it through have so much courage and resolve to persevere when they are told they may not make it that long to live.

Living and the dead, we remember them 🙏🏼

May we not have to experience the ruthless hand of ignorance and the devastation of war from the unsparing ravages of barbarous force anymore if humankind will only have a heart united to live peaceably and harmoniously for the sake of our children, our children’s children and the whole wide world.

May we strive for peace on earth beginning this Memorial Day🙏🏼

Sharing today’s reflection on The Good Shepherd. Sermon begins at minute 24:00

Good shepherd, gatekeeper, gate, when you hear those titles, what comes to mind?

The Statue of Liberty standing tall at Staten Island in New York. It is a symbol of liberty, democracy and freedom from oppression. It stands as the Gate from which immigrants were welcomed to this land as they enter New York by sea.

Can we, the people still have the freedom to stand for the voiceless, the poor, the huddled masses, and steer the wheel of the ship back to where the beacon of light, the gatekeeper leads us to our doors?
