Pace Presbyterian Church sits on 8 acres of property donated in 1971 by Dr. and
Mrs. In 1992, God brought together a small group of people and gave them a vision of a new church on this site in Pace Florida. A year later, our first pastor, Steve Rhodes, arrived and services began in the cafeteria of S.S. In 1994, the growing congregation moved into a temporary modular building on the current church property, and was officially chartered by the Presbytery of Florida as its 43rd church. On August 16, 1998, our current church building was dedicated. Membership had reached approximately 160 people by that time. In the Fall of 2000, Steve Rhodes was called to another church and Pace Presbyterian began the process of selecting its second leader. Pastor Frank Beall, retired from Trinity Presbyterian Church in Pensacola, accepted the position of interim minister to lead the church until a new permanent pastor was selected. Shuford White was chosen and served as our second permanent leader from 2002 until 2009. When Pastor White departed PPC, Dr. Lindsey Moffitt stepped in as interim leader until Commissioned Lay Pastor, Larry Plank was installed as our pastor in December, 2010 - 2016. As of November 2016, Pace Presbyterians new Pastor is Janice Fraser, She was Installed April 30, 2017. In our 18-year history, Pace Presbyterian Church has been proud to offer our community vibrant, thoughtful worship services, Christian education, exciting youth programs, the Christian-based New Beginnings Preschool, and much more. New Beginnings Preschool is a ministry of Pace Presbyterian Church. Our preschool is state licensed with Christian Based Philosophy. Our teachers are trained and educated in early childhood learning. God has provided us the opportunity to enrich the lives of our children through quality preschool education. New Beginnings Preschool is a non-profit organization. The mission of New Beginnings Preschool is to promote in each child’s life, God’s love and love for one another. The preschool will offer a clean, safe, Christian nurturing environment for children ages two to five. The goal of the preschool is to offer opportunities for children to experience God’s wonderful world by exploring their environment and relationships with one another. This goal is achieved through creative play, art, movement, music, stories, and the sciences. Each child will receive individualized attention, along with small group identity and large group experiences. The love of God and one another will always be our highest priority.
