I have witnessed far too many brethren "slip out the back door" of the church in a short amount of time after obeying the Gospel. I also firmly believe that "our people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6) is partly the reason why. We are pretty good at guiding people to the foot of the cross, but we must also equip them to remain faithful until death (Matt 28:20; Rev 2:10).

That was the motivation behind making this series of lessons called "Your First Forty Days in the Wilderness." I am incredibly grateful to WVBS for taking on this project and developing a website, videos, podcasts, and book - all offered for free! The intro video explains more details about how to use it.

If this effort can help strengthen souls so that they make it to heaven, then all the glory be to God!

I have been studying about how Satan works on each of us and this author showed a photo of how we all have “Peaks and Troughs”. We do this in all aspects of our daily life such as marriage, work, financial, children, relatives, friends and yes spiritual.
We all have 24 hours in a day….rich and poor, healthy and not, sick and well, young and old, male and female and we choose how we spend those precious hours each day.
We would all like to think that we can properly be devoting enough effort into each of these aspects of life to be sufficient but in reality we all experience Peaks and Troughs.
Satan knows that when we are in a Trough our guards are down and it’s easier to tempt us.
When you are in a Trough…reach for YOUR BIBLE and Pray. Ask your Minister and Elders to pray for you.
Our environment plays a BIG ROLE in our mindset especially who we are around. Try to always be around people that support and encourage your spirituality.
