What is the most important thing a church can do?

Point people to Jesus.

Sermons, Bible studies, fellowship events, ministries, and programs are all wonderful parts of church life, but they are nothing if they do not point to Jesus. Everything we do should point to Jesus, to help people follow Him, serve Him, trust Him, and love Him more.

That is what we want to be about at the Pace Church of Christ.

Our mission is simple: to point people to Jesus Christ.

As a follower of Jesus, it is crucial that we go out into the world seeking and saving the lost.

Studies show that most first generation Christians placed their faith in Christ because a friend or family member reached out to them. We need to go beyond our church buildings and into our communities because everyone needs Jesus.

Who can you reach today with the good news of Jesus Christ?

What are you doing with the Gospel?

The good news of Jesus Christ brings salvation to the world. If you know this good news, go and make disciples by sharing Jesus and teaching His commandments.

Let's talk about Jesus everywhere we go that others may share in the joy of our salvation!

How has the life of Jesus impacted you?

When we read the Bible, we must remember that real people told about real events at a time that could be verified by real witnesses. The stories we read about Jesus are real. When we read of Him, what impact does He have on our hearts?

Who do you say Jesus is?

When Jesus asked His disciples that question, Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

But knowing who Jesus is demands a response.

If Jesus is truly the Christ, then He is not merely someone we believe in. He is our Lord, our Master, our King, our Redeemer, our Savior, and our God.

And if we truly believe that Jesus is the Christ, it should change the way we live.

If we say Jesus is the Christ and we truly mean it, not only would we die for Him, we would live for Him.

What has your heart?

We all have things in this life that we treasure. Our families, hobbies, careers, friends, etc. are all important to us.

The danger isn't in having those blessings or even enjoying them - it's in allowing them to take the place that belongs to Christ alone.

Jesus calls us to love Him above everything else. When Christ is first in our hearts, every other part of life finds its proper place.

Take a moment today to honestly ask yourself:

What has my heart?

May we enjoy God's blessings while always remembering the One who gave them.
