I was just notified that a Friend of Mekokiko, Ron Salmon, has died. He and his wife Kathy were here in April of 2016. I've resurrected a picture from their trip here in memorial and have attached it to this post. Ron is the gentleman in the white shirt, second from the left. As the refrain says in the Blessing Lyrics by the Electrics: "May the saints and saviour watch over you." Amen brother Ron.

The Prescott, Arizona, team is still here. 5 more days. We are a little behind schedule, but the roof iron is on sight, and that is a good indicator how far they have come. Here are pictures of progress since the last posting that include: Walls, Tyvek, Siding, 1st Window, Rafters and Beams, and the beginning of the Porch!

Aloha! The first of two back-to-back work teams from Prescott, Arizona, under the leadership of Earl Bolkan, are here now. These pictures are from their first two days work. Their goal is to leave when the floor, porch, walls and roof are in place and the building is bug-proof. Then we will schedule other teams to work on the interior. Want to come and help finish the building? Email me.

We enjoyed a team of 6 led by Grace Harada Lord from Omaha, Nebraska early this week. The team was: Grace and Larry Lord, Mark Franz, Carolyn Nussrallah, Ann and Ed Harada. They braved the guava forest with me to layout our next 2000' feet of fencing against the feral pigs that roam the hills of the Big Island.

The Iowa team nears the end of the road with our new fence. Here are a few pictures of the work. Road repair, digging post holes, stringing barbedwire, wiring the fence. An absolute amazing assembly line of cowgirls, ranchers, and preachers too!
