The gospel rescues us from sin and wrath. Praise God for that.

But Scripture also shows us what we are saved for: to know God, love God, and worship God. Salvation is not merely escape. It is restoration to our highest purpose.

How would that truth change the way we talk about salvation?

Even more than Israel worshiping God, He used the Exodus to put His power on display for all nations. God was blessing the world through Israel; everyone had the opportunity to see His glory and worship Him. Rahab responded to that opportunity, but most did not.

Today, Jesus is the fulfillment of that promise to bless all nations through Israel. As Christians, our mission is to bring that Good News to every corner of the earth. God planned this from the very beginning. How deserving of worship He is!

Jonah didn't want the people of Nineveh to be forgiven. But God did.

The people and places you struggle to love, or think deserve destruction, God wants them to be forgiven. Hate the things God hates. Love the things God loves.

Here's a painful question:

If God took away every earthly comfort, but still gave you Himself in Christ, would He still be enough?

For the believer, the answer must be yes.

Not because suffering is easy.
Not because loss does not hurt.
But because God Himself is our greatest good.

“Declare His glory among the nations.”

Missions is more than one of the many things the Church does. It is woven into every aspect of scripture. It's at the core of what God is doing: glorifying Himself.

Some people hear “God wants worship” and assume that sounds selfish

What if worshiping God is actually the most loving thing He could call us to?

God’s mission is not cold self-exaltation. He loves people, and what is best for them is Himself.

Missions matters because God is worthy to be known, worshiped, and enjoyed among all peoples. That does not make people less important. It shows why people matter so much: they were made for Him.

What changed in your life when you realized the gospel is God-centered, not man-centered?

We want the nations to know Christ because He is joy.
Yes, judgment is real. Yes, eternity matters.
But one of the deepest motives for missions is this: Jesus is worthy to be enjoyed by every people.
“Let the nations be glad.”
