Week of Prayer for Missouri Missions
Day 4- Missouri Baptist University’s Pursuit of Global Engagement

Avyrie Hamstra planted a gospel seed through the gift of a stethoscope to a 13-year-old refugee at a camp in Greece after sharing the Gospel with her.
Hamstra is one of many nursing students from MBU who provided basic health care & shared the Gospel with refugees from Sudan, Syria, and Afghanistan at an international camp in Greece.

Pray for: MBU students going on mission each summer
Avyrie Hamstra, her fellow students, and the young teen in the story

Day 5- Building Forever Families

Married couple Tom and Claire became foster parents to 6-year-old Will, who often said, “I’m a bad kid.” Tom and Claire lovingly helped Will redirect his energies and showed him that “God sees a different kid.” The Missouri Baptist Children’s Home staff helped Will control his thoughts and actions.
Nine months later, Will received a character award at school. A year after that, Will found his forever family.

Pray for: Foster parents to care for children
Children like Will to be adopted
