Although you are free to wear what you want, you will see plenty of folks wearing hats, boots, and jeans. The music style is country and the sermons are simple and often stories of the cowboy way of life are used to illustrate scripture. Whether you are a cowboy, cowgirl, or not, you are welcome at Open Range Cowboy Church. Cowboy Style Outreach
Jesus went where people were to reach them. We use
arena events such as roping, barrel racing, playdays and trail rides to reach cowboys and cowgirls. Service
There are several ways to serve at Open Range Cowboy Church. We have different teams in the church and you can serve on a team that best suits your passion and gifting. Here are just a few of them:
Arena Team: This team plans and works different arena events. Our arena events are the primary outreach tool for Open Range Cowboy Church. If you are familiar with roping, barrel racing, playdays, and other events then this may be the team for you. Worship Team: This team is made up of singers and instrumentalists. Our music style is country, and the purpose is to lead the church in worshiping through music. Hospitality Team: This team creates a welcoming environment for services. We do this by extending a friendly greeting as folks arrive, and having coffee and other refreshments available. Ministry Team: This team will be ready to minister to our church family during an illness or in a crisis situation. Frequently asked Questions
Q) Do I have to be a cowboy to come to cowboy church? A) Not at all. There are people from all walks of life that have found a home at a cowboy church. Q) Is this a non-denominational church? A) You will find folks worshiping together that are from various church backgrounds and many with no church background. We value one’s relationship with Jesus more than ones relationship with a denomination. However, we also value churches cooperating together to fulfill the great commission. Therefore we have chosen to be affiliated with the following organizations. Arkansas Baptist State Convention
Clear Creek Baptist Association
We also thank the above organizations for supporting Open Range Cowboy Church. Q) Will you have a service on a weekday instead of Sunday so that I can attend my present church and cowboy church? A) No. Our intent is to reach unchurched folks and not to pull people from their current church. You will have to discern if God is calling you to be sent out from your church to Open Range Cowboy Church.
