Hey friends and Family! I hope you all had a wonderful blessed Christmas and a great start into the new year. We finished off the year with sending our DTS students off to Brazil for 2 months. Which means we are in off season mode (not really 🤣). In just a few days we are heading to California, to meet up with people, update and get ready for Steven to head to Japan for 2 weeks, to check in with Johnson and Cierra, our friends we helped settle in last year. He will also catch up with some friends we made while there and see their ministry development.

As soon as we get back from our California trip we have DTS graduation and our annual Joplin group coming for their Mission Adventures. A week where high school students get a taste of what missions looks like. Outreaches in to the community, lectures, missions focused games, intercession for the nations etc.
I (Ang) am going strong homeschooling Milo at home, while also trying to keep Heidi out of trouble. It’s crazy to think that we have a 7year old and a 3 year old now. 🥺

Also just to clarify, so people are not confused about the name, we are full-Time staff at YWAM Ozarks (Youth with a mission) a missionary organization here in Ozark AR. We used to own our own coffeehouse back in 2020-22 and loved the name Simply Risen so much that we wanted to keep it as our ministry name. What the name boils down to is, the gospel is simple and Christ has risen but also in our ministry we strive to use simple ingredients and make a meal out of it. Also since we had a Coffeeshop it fit well with that. Also what else rises? Bread…and I love to bake and Christ also says he is the bread of life and he who comes to me will never go hungry (John 6:35) so we w like to follow his example

It’s finally time to start posting more day to day and updates on what we are doing in ministry.
I am terrible at keeping up with people and letting everyone know what’s going on.
I recently uploaded a bunch of pictures from our Japan trip earlier this year and some more recent pictures of the kids.
