Good Read From Our Minister's Desk.
You Been Verified (Gen. 3:1-11)
God has already determined who we are. Here's the
problem. The problem is sometimes we create false
identities!! We create them depending upon who we
are in front of or in & a temp to please people or impress
people. Sometimes we act out identities that aren't who
we are cause we don't know who we really are! We must
understand identity flows from how we see ourselves. Our
words create our identity. Because God has to get us to agree with what He has said about us & this is always challenging because it requires our agreement. Now, if God
is seeking to verify us to get us to agree with Him concerning
our identity so we can act out in our lives who He says we are. It stands to reason that the enemy is going to do everything that he can to discredit in our minds who God says we are. Here's what the enemy does. He tries to get us
to see ourselves by opinions of others & the belief that we draw from our conclusions of the events of our lives. Satan
embeds in us mindsets thru disappointments & experiences
that wasn't successful. Here's what we don't realize, that our
View of the past often creates our identity for the future. Satan knows if you ever start to see yourself like God sees
you, you will fulfill your God given destiny. God is after using
you & blessing you to be a blessing to others, but that require a shift. Get this. Life shift require identity shift. Identity comes with responsibilities!!! There are increase
responsibilities connected to new identity!! In the text, The
whole sin problem was & identity problem. Satan seeks to rob you of your identity. That's why he tries to keep you in
insecurity because insecurity makes you vulnerable to pride.
So his strategy is to steal our identity in order to stop our assignment. Satan invades our identity with thoughts of inferiority trying to cause us to disqualify ourselves from who
God has chosen us to be. In the text, Satan spoke thru the
Serpent. Always remember the enemy has to find people to
speak thru to steal your identity!! Anybody who tries to tell you that you are anything other than who God says you are is a snake with ulterior motives, anybody that treats you in a way that devalues who God says you are is a snake, any man
that treats you like a side piece & a dime piece is a snake!!!! You have Been Verified!!!! In Hope, The Preacher
