📣 WELCOME TO SUNDAY MORNING AT THE RIVER OF OZARK 🌊🔥

We're so glad you're here — whether you're joining us in person or online.

Today's message is for anyone who has ever questioned God's timing...

Anyone who has ever wondered why life isn't going the way they expected...

Anyone who has ever tried to take control because they couldn't understand what God was doing.

Because the truth is:

👉 God is still writing your story
👉 Your current chapter is not your final chapter
👉 What feels unfinished to you is still being worked on by God

🔥 TODAY'S MESSAGE
✍️ "God Is Still Writing Your Story"
🖊️ Stop Trying to Take the Pen Away
✨ Pastor Joshua Fisher

📖 Philippians 1:6 (NLT)

"And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns."

Today we're uncovering something powerful:

👉 We often trust God with eternity but struggle to trust Him with today
👉 We love God as the Author when the story is going our way
👉 But we often try to take the pen when the chapter becomes difficult

Today we're diving into:

✅ Why God sees the whole story while we only see one page
✅ How impatience can cause us to interfere with God's process
✅ The danger of trying to force what God is still developing
✅ Why God's delays are not God's denials
✅ How God remains faithful even when we don't understand the chapter
✅ Why God always finishes what He starts

Here's the reality:

👉 Joseph saw slavery
God saw a palace.

👉 David saw years of waiting
God saw a king.

👉 Peter saw failure
Jesus saw restoration.

What looked like the end was only part of the process.

📖 Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT)

"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."

📖 Psalm 138:8 (NLT)

"The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don't abandon me, for you made me."

Today is not about pretending everything is okay...

👉 It's about learning to trust the Author
👉 It's about surrendering control
👉 It's about believing God is still working even when you cannot see it

Because sometimes the problem isn't that God stopped writing...

👉 It's that we've become impatient with the chapter we're in.

If you're in the room — lean in.

If you're watching online — remove distractions and stay engaged.

This isn't just another message...

👉 It's a reminder that God isn't finished
👉 A reminder that your story isn't over
👉 A reminder to trust the Author when you don't understand the page

🌊 The River of Ozark
Let's Make Heaven Crowded.

05/31/2026

📣 WELCOME TO SUNDAY MORNING AT THE RIVER OF OZARK 🌊🔥

We’re so glad you’re here — whether you’re joining us in person or online.

Today’s message is real…
It’s convicting…
And it’s something many believers struggle with, yet few ever admit.

Because the truth is:

👉 Comparison is one of the enemy's most subtle traps
👉 It steals joy without warning
👉 It causes us to question God's goodness and forget His faithfulness

🔥 TODAY’S MESSAGE
⚠️ “The Danger of Comparison”
✨ Pastor Joshua Fisher

📖 Psalm 73:2-3 (NLT)

"But as for me, I almost lost my footing. My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone. For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness."

Today we're uncovering something powerful:

👉 Comparison doesn't just make you look at others
👉 Comparison can make you lose sight of God

Just like Asaph, many people aren't struggling because God has failed them...

They're struggling because they've become focused on what God appears to be doing for someone else.

Today we're diving into:

✅ How comparison causes us to forget God's faithfulness
✅ Why comparison distorts reality and perspective
✅ The danger of measuring your life against someone else's
✅ How comparison becomes distrust in disguise
✅ Why God has given every believer a unique assignment
✅ How to stay focused on the race God has called you to run

Here's the reality:

👉 We see their success
👉 We see their promotion
👉 We see their blessing

But we don't see:

👉 Their struggles
👉 Their sacrifices
👉 Their private battles

Comparison causes us to compare our behind-the-scenes footage to somebody else's highlight reel.

And that's never a fair comparison.

📖 Psalm 103:2 (NLT)

"Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me."

📖 Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT)

"Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus..."

Today is not about condemnation...

👉 It's about perspective
👉 It's about gratitude
👉 It's about getting our eyes back on Jesus

Because the cure for comparison isn't a bigger blessing.

👉 The cure is the presence of God.

Sometimes what needs to change isn't our circumstances...

👉 It's our perspective.

If you're in the room — lean in.
If you're watching online — remove distractions and stay engaged.

This isn't just another message...

👉 It's a call to stop looking sideways
👉 A call to stop measuring
👉 A call to trust God's plan for your life

🇺🇸 MEMORIAL DAY 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Their sacrifice purchased freedoms many of us enjoy every single day — freedoms that should never be taken for granted.

📖 John 15:13 (NLT)
“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us remember:
❤️ Freedom is costly
🙏 Sacrifice matters
🕊️ And honor should never be forgotten

We pray comfort over every military family who carries the weight of loss today. Your loved ones are not forgotten.

From all of us at The River of Ozark Church —
Have a safe and blessed Memorial Day weekend.

— Pastors Joshua & Anja Fisher 🇺🇸

📣 WELCOME TO SUNDAY MORNING AT THE RIVER OF OZARK 🌊🔥

We’re so glad you’re here — whether you’re joining us in person or online.

Today’s message is real…
It’s challenging…
And it’s something every believer faces daily.

Because the truth is:

👉 Your life is shaped by choices
👉 Destiny is built through daily decisions
👉 And every day you are becoming the sum of what you repeatedly choose

🔥 TODAY’S MESSAGE
⚔️ “The Power of a Choice”
✨ Pastor Joshua Fisher

📖 Deuteronomy 30:19 (NLT)
“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses… Oh, that you would choose life…”

Today we’re uncovering something powerful:

👉 Fear or faith
👉 Obedience or self-service
👉 Growth or comfort

Because every decision moves you toward:
freedom or bo***ge
purpose or compromise
growth or stagnation

Today we’re diving into:

✅ Why fear distorts perspective
✅ How fear keeps people wandering from what God promised
✅ The danger of selective obedience
✅ Why delayed obedience is still disobedience
✅ How comfort can quietly become a cage
✅ Why growth requires pressure, stretching, and surrender

Here’s the reality:

👉 You don’t accidentally become spiritually mature
👉 You don’t drift into obedience
👉 You don’t stumble into purpose

Every day you are choosing:
what feeds your spirit
what controls your thinking
what shapes your future

📖 Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve…”

📖 James 2:17 (NLT)
“Faith by itself isn’t enough…”

📖 Philippians 3:13–14 (KJV)
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Today is not about condemnation…

👉 It’s about decisions
👉 It’s about surrender
👉 It’s about choosing differently

Because one decision in the presence of God can change the direction of your entire life.

Fear says:
“Go backwards.”

Comfort says:
“Stay where it’s easy.”

But faith says:
“Trust God anyway.”

And growth says:
“There is more.”

If you’re in the room — lean in.
If you’re watching online — remove distractions and stay engaged.

This isn’t just another message…

👉 It’s a call to choose faith over fear
👉 Obedience over compromise
👉 Growth over comfort

📣 WELCOME TO SUNDAY MORNING AT THE RIVER OF OZARK 🌊🔥

We’re so glad you’re here — whether you’re joining us in person or online.

Today’s message is real…
It’s convicting…
And it’s something many believers don’t even realize is happening.

Because the truth is:

👉 Not all idols are statues
👉 Not all worship looks spiritual
👉 And not everything controlling your life looks obvious

🔥 TODAY’S MESSAGE
🕊️ “Altars or Idols: What You Feed Will Eventually Rule You”
✨ Pastor Joshua Fisher

📖 Exodus 20:3–5
“You must not have any other god but me…”

Today we’re uncovering something powerful:

👉 Some people don’t bow to images…
👉 They bow to fear
👉 Anxiety
👉 Control
👉 Offense
👉 Comfort
👉 Insecurity

And without realizing it…

👉 They’ve given something else the place only God should have

Today we’re diving into:

✅ How fear quietly becomes influence
✅ Why anxiety was never meant to sit on the throne
✅ The danger of letting your struggle become your identity
✅ How what you feed grows stronger in your life
✅ Why God calls us to tear down idols—not manage them
✅ How true freedom begins with surrender

Here’s the reality:

👉 Whatever you fear most…
👉 Whatever you feed most…

Will eventually begin to rule you

You may not bow physically…

But ask yourself:

👉 What controls my thoughts?
👉 What shapes my decisions?
👉 What do I run to first—fear or faith?

📖 Isaiah 8:12–13 (NLT)
“Do not live in dread… Make the Lord holy in your life…”

📖 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear…”

Today is not about condemnation…

👉 It’s about exposure
👉 It’s about realignment
👉 It’s about tearing down what doesn’t belong

Because God will not share His throne.

And revival doesn’t happen publicly…
👉 While idols are protected privately

📖 1 Kings 18:30 (NLT)
“Elijah… repaired the altar of the Lord…”

Before the fire fell…
👉 The altar had to be rebuilt

Before breakthrough comes…
👉 Something must be surrendered

If you’re in the room — lean in.
If you’re watching online — remove distractions and stay engaged.

This isn’t just another message…

👉 It’s a call to identify the idol
👉 A call to tear it down
👉 A call to rebuild the altar

🌸 HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY 🌸

Today, we honor the women who carry love, strength, wisdom, and grace into the lives of others every single day.

To the mothers…
To the grandmothers…
To the spiritual mothers…
To the women still praying for children…
To the women who nurture, encourage, uplift, teach, and love…

We celebrate YOU today. 💖

A woman’s impact cannot always be measured by biology alone — because some of the greatest mothers are the women who chose to care, cover, pray, guide, and pour into others with a genuine heart.

Thank you for every prayer whispered late at night…
Every sacrifice nobody saw…
Every tear…
Every hug…
Every encouraging word…
Every meal made…
Every lesson taught…
And every seed planted in love.

Your nurturing spirit reflects the heart of God more than you know.

“The wise woman builds her home…” — Proverbs 14:1

Today at The River of Ozark Church, we celebrate the beauty, strength, tenderness, and faith of every woman who helps shape lives and point people toward love, hope, and Jesus.

💐 You are appreciated.
💐 You are valuable.
💐 You are seen.
💐 You are loved.

From all of us at
The River of Ozark Church 🌊

✝️ GOOD FRIDAY — IT IS FINISHED

Today we remember the greatest act of love this world has ever known.

Jesus didn’t just die…
He gave Himself.

For our sins.
For our healing.
For our freedom.

The cross wasn’t the end — it was the payment in full.

📖 “When Jesus had tasted it, He said, ‘It is finished!’ Then He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” — John 19:30 (NLT)

Everything you’ve been struggling with…
Everything you’ve been carrying…
Everything that tried to hold you bound…

👉 It was settled at the cross.

But don’t stop at Friday…

🔥 Sunday is coming.

And something BIG is about to take place.
The unexpected… with expectation.

Come join us this Resurrection Sunday —
We’re believing for lives to be changed, chains to be broken, and Jesus to be revealed like never before.

Let’s make Heaven crowded. ❤️

What an incredible Sunday at River of Ozark Church 🤍

We were so blessed to have a special guest with us — our dear friend .m.baker , a faithful missionary with who has been ministering in Zambia for the past 5 years. It was such a powerful and meaningful time hearing what God is doing through her life, reaching remote tribes and sharing the love of Jesus in places many will never go.

Nicola is always welcoming ministry partners — whether through monthly support or a one-time seed — for anyone who feels led to be part of what God is doing in Zambia.

Moments like these remind us how big God’s mission is and how honored we are to be a small part of it. So thankful for our church family and the opportunity to come together in faith, worship, and purpose.
