Greetings and salutations brothers and sisters.
As you may have noticed, the world seems to have caught on fire slightly. I can already predict that some of my preachy brethren will be predicting doom and gloom. I'm afraid you won't find that here.
Pslam 118:24
This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
No matter how dire things may appear, we are children of Almighty God. He will bless us, guard us and protect us as is his will.
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Our Lord is in control. This is truly His world. No. He will not shield us with a magical curtain of protection, but we can be assured that He has our best interests at heart. We don't have to understand. We get to have faith.
Perhaps most importantly my friends, be kind to one another and show love to those around you in all things.
Matthew 7:12
So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Being a Christian is truly about three things, and only three. Love the Lord in all things. Love the people around you and freely show it. Love yourself and do the things that will allow you to have true fulfilment and happiness. Shockingly simple when you get down to it and frankly, it's something that the world is sorely lacking at the moment.
Please, my beloved brethren, do not give into fear in these times. Don't listen to the prophets of doom and gloom, no matter if they claim to speak for the Lord or the state. And please, show love and affection to others, more so now than ever.
Matthew 5:43-48
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Love before hate. Peace before animosity.
You are loved by our God, and you are all loved by me as well.
May God bless you all. Be safe. Be loving. Be kind.
All love in Christ,
~Kevin
