Coldwater United Methodist Church It wasn’t until August 11th of 1858 that the first structure was built on the banks of Coldwater Creek. Thankfully, the following year, it was resurrected anew.

During the year 1835, our little church was created first as a Methodist Fellowship with no building designated as God's place, but with a small group of God loving people with a passion to spread His Holy word. The church was known to the community as “Haven of Rest” due to the crystal clear waters of the creek and the lush, vibrant foliage surrounding it. In 1885, the first church constructed, s

adly, burned to the ground. Later in time, the church was renamed “Coldwater United Methodist Church” due to the proximity of the church to the creek and the community surrounding it. We are now a church with tendrils woven among Calhoun and Talladega Counties serving God and witnessing to others His divine love and mercy. All are welcome to join us for Worship beginning at 9 AM with Sunday School following immediately after at 10 AM.
