SERVING ON DIOCESAN COMMITTEES:

Members of Holy Trinity are invited to be candidates for Diocesan positions at the upcoming Diocesan Convention. In particular we need candidates for the board of the Episcopal Community Services Foundation and the Trustees of the Church Foundation.

Candidates are self-nominated. All they have to do is go to the Convention website (link below), fill out the requested information, and upload a headshot photo. Owing to the lack of candidates, nominations will be accepted until end October.

DAY TO VISIT THE ORGAN ~ November 11. The Day to Visit the Organ will be an inter-generational event in which Phillip Roberts will take us on an after-church tour of the organ. This tour is designed for the children but we invite everyone to join us in learning about our fantastic new instrument!

ANNUAL SILENT RETREAT

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall never be shaken. Psalm 62

The Silent Retreat will be at the Transfiguration Spirituality Center in Glendale. Members of Holy T and their friends/neighbors are invited.

This weekend offers the opportunity to practice the ancient spiritual disciple of silence. Take a break from your busy, noisy routine to rest, to listen, to be present and to come close to God. Participants can choose how long or how much they want to keep silence during the retreat.
Discreet conversations are allowed throughout out the weekend.

The schedule for the weekend is flexible, and individuals fill their time as they like. Explore the beautiful grounds or neighborhood of Glendale. Spend time in the convent library. Attend prayers of the daily office with the sisters in the Oratory (Morning Prayer, Noon Office, Evensong, and Compline). Celebrate Holy Eucharist on Sundays in the Chapel of the Transfiguration. Last year, some of us enjoyed journaling, reading, meditating, or practicing
yoga.

Jan. 25, 26, 27, 2019 ( 2 nights and meals , $134.00).
