Did you know National Donut Day began with The Salvation Army? ❤️

In 1917, Salvation Army “Donut Lassies” served fresh donuts to soldiers during World War I to bring comfort, encouragement, and a taste of home. Today, we continue that tradition by celebrating the people who serve our communities every day.

We invited Salvation Army youth to make the original Salvation Army Donut recipe. Here's how it went... 😏🍩

National Donut Day has been a Salvation Army tradition since 1938 — established to honor the volunteers who brought soldiers hope and a taste of home during one of history's darkest times.

To our community family

At this time, our monthly food box program has been temporarily paused. Because of this, we will not be doing Thursday food box distributions until further notice.

Please know that if you are in need of food, we are still here for you. We continue to offer hot lunches Monday–Friday from 11:00am–12:00pm, and our community tables will still be available with donated food items from local grocery stores for those in need.

Thank you for your patience, kindness, and support during this transition. We care deeply about our community and will continue serving in every way we can.
