Sometimes, a particular situation or season reminds us of the value of the partners we'll serve with along the way. Each one is unique, gifted and filled with potential - and the Lord is overjoyed to use them to build His Church and Kingdom.

We finish our sermon series this week, To Hit the Ground Running Well, by considering how Jesus used those like the Twelve and how He strengthened the one who spent his life preparing the way for Jesus. Every effort we make for Him is worth its cost, every question worth bringing to Him.

Somebody down the road will need our commitment to and sacrifice for Jesus now. Just like we once needed somebody's at one point previously ourselves. So let's consider this week how we can and should be partnering with Him and His people for the sake of one more person or family joining Him. Let's do this together, friend!

We have to be hugely intentional, or we'll forget: there's a hugely important prayer we'll need along the way.
We continue this week in our series To Hit the Ground Running Well. As Jesus went throughout all the towns and villages in His day, even He knew He couldn't do it all alone. Jesus directed His followers to pray for help.
As we go about our days and seasons, our ups and downs, our conversations and neighborhoods, our choices and commitments, our responsibility to be - not just do - the Church... let's not forget that our single greatest resource is our relationship with the Lord, and the prayer lives we cultivate with Him. And let's not forget that once we pray, it's our responsibility to live and love as He would.

What do we do when somebody questions our commitment to Christ? Or when somebody questions our commitment to His church? The subject of our time in God's Word this week would tell us: "There's one person to sacrifice along the way."

This week, we continue in our sermon series, To Hit the Ground Running Well, with a sharp, convicting look in the mirror. Exactly what are we willing to sacrifice for the sake of knowing Christ and living the "resurrection" life He's called us to?

We know somebody is watching and studying us. And somebody is trying to figure out what their life should look like. And somebody is wondering, based on our example, if salvation and eternity are worth their own sacrifice. So let's invite them in and come alongside them. Let's do this together, friend!

They can't move, but they're sick or hurt somehow, and have all sorts of pain and questions. Who are the people in our lives for whom we'll sacrifice along the way?
This week, we continue in our sermon series, To Hit the Ground Running Well, by keeping our eyes open. And our time and effort as well. There are so many of them. And yet, we're called to reach them, one day and opportunity at a time. People. Those costing us something. Those joining us in heaven someday.
Just as much as we appreciate it, still, when somebody stepped into our lives back when we desperately needed them to, so also do we actualize our appreciation today, toward one prayer, call, example - one person - at a time. What a joyous eternity we're all being prepared for!

We often think our job description as Christians is to pray, be in the Bible and be a part of a solid, others-focused church family. But is it just as natural for us...to die?
In the next two paragraphs in our investment into the Gospel of Matthew, we continue our sermon series, To Hit the Ground Running Well, by considering a most piercing truth: whether Jesus is teaching us, describing the tools we'll need for the people we'll encounter along the way, or discussing His kingdom and how to finish well, He demonstrates that our primary purpose on earth is to die to ourselves so we could live for Him. Whatever the cost.
What area of our lives do we need to sacrifice for the cost of being His disciple, the cost of growing His kingdom? Such a death, while seemingly counter-intuitive, shines the light of truth all the more brilliantly throughout our very dark and dying world. Let's shine together, friend!
