First and foremost we believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earne
d through our own efforts. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives. We believe God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority. We believe in the baptism of Jesus Christ which occurs after salvation and consist of being fully emerged under water. The emerging represents the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and is a visual sign of salvation and new birth. We believe that every believer should desire to become a Disciple of Jesus Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through knowledge and obedience of the word of God. We believe that the Church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. We believe that every believer should be a dynamic part of the local church since this is God’s primary context for spiritual development and community impact. Ephesians 5:22-33
"Our Code"
We are committed to body building – Our number one goal is and will always be the salvation of the lost. While we specialize in attracting men and the unsaved and unchurched, and people who have made mistakes in their past and want a fresh start, we want to expand to reach people from other races, cultures, and socio-economic classes. We are committed to reaching out – We will always specialize in outreach programs for hurting people (i.e. the homeless, the poor, those with substance abuse issues, the incarcerated, those who have suffered from physical, verbal, or emotional abuse, etc.) Our focus is Matthew 25:31-46 and Luke 4:18-19. We want those who nobody else wants. We Act in audacious faith – In order to dominate a city with the gospel of Jesus, we can’t think small. We will set impossible goals, take bold steps of faith and watch God move. We Are a generation of honor – We freely give honor to those above us, beside us and under us because of the calling and potential God has placed inside of them. We are committed to Excellence – We will continue to be the model for excellent ministry in our city and in the nation. We will always strive to be excellent in our customer service—how we treat our members, visitors, and guests from the moment they pull into our parking lot, when they leave our services, and when they call, email, or write with requests or concerns. We will be the standard for excellence in how we do people. We Are Rusty Scupper, Not Joe’s Crab Shack – Simplicity enables excellence. We place a disproportionate value on creating a worship experience that boldly celebrates Jesus and attracts people far from God. We are united under the visionary – Uproar is built on the vision God gave Pastor James. We will aggressively defend our unity and his vision. We are known for what we are for – We will speak vision and life over our people. We will lift up the salvation of Jesus rather than using our platform to condemn. We are not afraid to get low – We will stay humble and maintain the spirit of love and realness that we’ve had since day one at all times and give all credit and glory to God for our successes. We are committed to doing it right – We will seek the holistic improvement of each member of our ministry—spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. We will preach and teach the biblical mandates to achieve success in all these areas. We will also make available the necessary classes, groups, resources, and qualified individuals to help each willing member achieve holistic improvement. We are all about the numbers – Our staff and church will go above and beyond to give sacrificially to the work of God in our city and see many lives changed.
