Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
🍂When we gather around the Thanksgiving table, it’s often a mix of personalities. Like the loud uncle, the quiet cousin, the storyteller, or the one who can make things interesting.
It can feel a little like a Mötley crew — a mix of black sheep, oddballs, and everyone in between.
Yet somehow, it all works out. Because love holds us together more than our differences ever could. ❤️
Now, let’s think about another table — the Last Supper.
Around that table sat fishermen and a tax collector, and a zealot. People who probably would have never been seated at the same table if it had not been for Jesus.
Fishermen weren’t in the same social class as tax collectors, and zealots despised anyone who sided with Rome. Tax collectors worked for Rome. Yet there they were united because of Jesus!
Christ brings together what the world would never put in the same room. He turns strangers, even enemies, into brothers and sisters, outcasts into family, and brings unity in the midst of division. 🙌
This Thanksgiving, as we gather around our own tables, may we remember the example Jesus set.
Loving those who are different, showing grace where it’s not expected, and finding unity in Him.
🫶There’s always room at the table of Christ. Join us this Sunday and experience the kind of family only He can create. You belong here!
