My prayer is that every person on Earth finds Jesus before it’s too late.
It is not a prayer born from pride, as though some are more deserving than others. It is born from love, because the Lord desires life for every soul. Scripture says, “The Lord is… patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9, NIV). His patience is mercy. His delay is compassion. Every sunrise is another witness that His invitation still stands.
When we begin to love as He loves, we cannot be content only with our own comfort or assurance. The heart that has been touched by Christ starts to long for the rescue of others. We begin to see people not as strangers passing through the world, but as eternal souls, each one created to receive His love. This is why the gospel is never meant to be hidden away in private gratitude. Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15, NIV). His truth is meant to move outward, like light pouring through an opened window.
Yet this prayer is also filled with urgency. Life in this world does not last forever, and opportunities to turn toward the Lord are not endless. “Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2, NIV). The call to seek Him is always present-tense. Today is holy. Today is open. Today is mercy reaching out its hand. We do not know how many tomorrows we or anyone else may have, but we do know that Jesus still calls, still forgives, still receives all who come to Him.
So let this prayer become more than words. Let it become tenderness toward the lost, patience with the wandering, courage to speak His name, and faith that no heart is beyond His reach. For the Lord who said, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself” (John 12:32, NIV), still works in ways unseen, bending even sorrow, truth, conscience, and love toward His saving purpose. May the whole earth come to know the beauty of His mercy, and may many turn to Him while His invitation is still being heard.
Lord Jesus, let Your truth shine into every darkened place. Stir hearts across the earth to seek You, to know You, and to love what is good before it is too late. Teach me to pray with compassion, to speak with gentleness, and to live in a way that reflects Your heart for all people. Amen.
