Greetings Ignite 360 Church Family and Friends,
As leaders we are often tasked to make difficult decisions for those we serve. My husband and I have attended our church since 2005, our children have grown up here, and we have loved serving the Lord in this community.
For the last 6 years or so, Ignite 360 church has been in numerical decline. People leave churches for various reasons, and our church has been no different.
Those who have stayed at Ignite 360 church have been very faithful to the Lord and to the church in a very difficult time in history. They have shown great love and care to the church and to each other. We love and appreciate you all more that I can express fully in this message.
Over the last 6 months the board has been seeking the Lord for direction for the church. After much prayer and meeting with the Kentucky Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God, we made recommendations and the district agreed with our assessment. The decision was made to close Ignite 360 Church.
This has been an extremely difficult decision. However, as a leader I know that this is what is best for the long term spiritual health of those who call Ignite 360 church their home. To say I’ve labored over this would be an understatement. I love this church and those who attend here. It’s out of that love and care that I’m sharing this with you today.
What happens next… we each continue to serve the Lord and be part of the greater body of Christ. On January 30th at 10:30am we will host a celebration service to honor the life and history of this church body. In its 60 year history this church has been home to many who live in Owensboro and the surrounding area. If you have ever attended and would like to join us, we ask that you sign up on our FB event (posting tomorrow.) After service we will have chili and ice cream and encourage one another in the Lord.
Please pray for us as each family will have the task of finding a new place to attend. Pray for our community, there is still much ministry that needs to take place and many who need to hear the message of the hope that Jesus gives.
Thank you to all of you who have served in this ministry through the years, I’m believing for revival in Owensboro and the surrounding area. God is faithful and we trust in Him. Be blessed!
PS. Facebook Event will be posted on 1/18/22.
