A Southern Tier church is opening its doors for a free conference on human trafficking, grooming, and exploitation. The lineup includes an FBI Task Force representative, the Broome County DA's office, and a survivor sharing their own story. Organizers say the goal is simple, help this community recognize what exploitation actually looks like before it's too late.

Due to the chance of rain and heavy storms coming through this afternoon and evening, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight's Tioga County Overdose Awareness Vigil.

At this time, no rain date has been scheduled.

This vigil holds deep meaning for our coalition. It is a time for our community to come together, honor the lives lost to overdose, and acknowledge the ongoing impact of substance use on families and loved ones. Although we cannot gather tonight, our commitment to remembering those we have lost—and supporting those who continue to be affected—remains unwavering.

SIGN UP NOW STARTING! Join us for our Float The River Adventure FUNDRAISER for Tioga United Way. Beat the summer heat and have a FUN day with us! Saturday, August 22 2026 at 11 AM. (Raindate 8/23/26).
We will be launching from Marshland Road boat dock and floating to Hickories Park where we will end with a picnic lunch, raffles & 50/50.
You can bring your own tubes, kayak or canoe or we will have river tubes available to purchase at cost ($18).
100 percent of proceeds go to Untied Way.
Help us, help others!
