We've begun a new program within the blessing box after a very generous donation! Monday through Friday throughout June and July, there will be five lunches placed in the Blessing Box during in the morning. These Light of Christ Lunches are intended to help our neighbors who are home for the summer. Lunches will consist of a peanut butter and jelly or jelly sandwich, cheez-its, a slim jim, apple OR orange, a cookie, and a bottle of water. Thank you to everyone who contributes to our Blessing Box and helps take care of our community through it!

Words of thoughtfulness and encouragement from Pastor Sandy for the week:

Unfathomable

Have you ever noticed how many times Jesus retreated to be alone and pray? His disciples seemed frustrated, at times. “Jesus, where have you been? Everyone’s waiting for you.” He didn’t let that stop him. He was an amazingly hard worker, staying up until all hours of the night. But he found time, he made time, to spend with God.

Time alone with God gives us direction and courage. It slows us down so we can think more clearly. See God with greater clarity.

And that’s when we fall in love all over again.

Words of thoughtfulness and encouragement from Pastor Sandy this week.

Unfathomable

Doubt. It’s that niggly feeling you get when you wonder what is true and what is not. When we doubt we either pass by because the issue isn’t that important, or we dig in and find out what the truth is. Is it okay to doubt God? I suggest that not only is it okay to doubt but that doubt is an avenue to maturing in faith. Our Matriarchs and Patriarchs in the faith doubted. Some even laughed. Eventually, their faith deepened and their love for God became broader and wider.

Go ahead and question God. The answer may amaze you!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
