June is Pride Month. Pride Month is a time to celebrate the beauty, individuality, and joy of our LGBTQIA+ siblings, friends, neighbors, and loved ones. We are all part of God’s wonderfully diverse creation. Join us in standing against discrimination, supporting equality for all, and recommitting ourselves to creating a community where everyone knows they are valued, welcomed, and belong.

Sorry we did not have Unfathomable last week. We had a weird technical blip. Now that its resolved, here is Unfathomable! Words of encouragement and thoughtfulness from Pastor Sandy for your week!

Unfathomable

I’ve heard it said that prayer isn’t answered because the one praying didn’t pray hard enough or didn’t have enough faith. How hard is hard enough? What quantity of faith must I have? This isn’t helpful to me. I need more.

Jesus talked about mustard seed faith. We can do that most of the time.

Yet, I wonder. Is our prayer short? That’s okay. Find time to return to God and talk it out with the Holy One. See if God has an answer that isn’t merely yes or no. Perhaps God has a message for you. That works a lot of the time.

Sometimes, though, God seems to be silent. It’s hard to wait in that silence. All we can do is wait and see.

And that’s the most difficult prayer of all. But, remember, God never fails us. God has a divine timeline that isn’t ours.

Thanks be to God.
