Dear Logandale Nevada Stake Members:

The new seminary year is upon us and we are excited to continue assisting the youth of our stake draw closer to the Savior, Jesus Christ and become more converted to His restored gospel. The seminary faculty are prepared and ready for a new year and experience. This upcoming experience and approach will bring about promised blessings to both students and their families.

The Savior, Jesus Christ is the master teacher and He knows how to teach across all mediums. Due to the effects of COVID-19, in-person seminary classes are not currently permissible. Therefore, the Logandale Nevada Stake Presidency and the seminary faculty are excited to introduce a new modified online experience to seminary. Different from the modified home-study approach implemented at the conclusion of the last school year, this next year will begin with an online seminary program which will have greater opportunity for students to interact and better follow lesson material. This online system has been developed to assist students invite the spirit into their daily studies and thereby enable a better understanding of eternal doctrine and to experience the Lord's love for them each personally and individually.

Below you will find a link to a landing page. We encourage all students and parents to watch the short videos therein and read the materials which provide current details for this upcoming online approach. We anticipate more details to follow as Clark County School District finalizes their plans. The landing page also includes details regarding a short upcoming Parent-Teacher ZOOM Meeting to answer questions, orientate parents and students about this upcoming year and discuss how parents can make this online seminary approach a rich blessing in their homes. Attending this ZOOM meeting is strongly encouraged.

We encourage you to immediately register your student for seminary - if you have not already. (This must be done each year) The landing page provides links which can provide direction for you on how to do this. We are requesting all students to be registered by August 14th so we are better able to organize classes before the August 24th start date.

Study with intent to teach, explain, share and testify!

06/20/2017

Hello Logandale Seminary! Brother Holyoak here. I am excited to study the Book of Mormon this coming year. I was reminded recently of a pretty cool promise made by President Hinkley about studying this wonderful book. He said a person will have "an added measure of the Spirit of the Lord, a strengthened resolution to walk in obedience to His commandments, and a stronger testimony of the living reality of the Son of God.” Students, don't wait until school starts to start your study of the Book of Mormon. Capture this prophetic promise today.
