A hand warmer. A hat. A pair of gloves. Things most of us grab without thinking can get someone through a freezing night. A gift of any size helps fill another backpack. https://conta.cc/4B5q02F

The people our teams meet this fall aren't one kind of person. They are women, men and children, each with a name and a story, and each facing the same cold nights. Your Socktober gift helps us meet each of them where they are. https://conta.cc/4B5q02F

Here's a Socktober challenge. Give a $35 Bundle of Love, then tag two friends to do the same. Together you'll keep three people warm this winter. Who are you tagging? https://conta.cc/4B5q02F

To everyone who responded to our Socktober appeal: thank you. Your gifts are already turning into sleeping bags, socks and hand warmers on the streets. Socktober runs through Saturday, October 31, so there's still time to join in.

Today is the day we asked friends to respond to our Socktober appeal, and the need is urgent. Cold nights are here. Every gift today helps our First Responders get sleeping bags, socks and warm layers to people before the hardest part of winter. $35 gives one Bundle of Love. $105 helps three people! https://conta.cc/4B5q02F

Tomorrow, October 26, is the date we've asked friends to respond to this year's Socktober appeal. As you worship today, we invite you to pray about how God might use you to serve "the least of these" this winter. https://conta.cc/4B5q02F

Staying warm outside isn't about one big coat. It's about layers: thermal underwear, dry socks, gloves and a hat. That's why our Socktober drive gathers all of them. Thank you for helping keep our neighbors layered up this winter.

The forecast tonight is 52 degrees. For most of us, that means an extra blanket, or turning on the furnace. For someone sleeping outside, it means a long, cold night. A $35 Bundle of Love includes a winter sleeping bag and hand warmers. Give one before dark: https://conta.cc/4B5q02F

Did our Socktober letter land in your mailbox? We're asking friends to respond by Monday, October 26, so supplies reach people before the coldest nights. No letter? You can give online in a minute: https://conta.cc/4B5q02F

A look behind the scenes: our team is packing Bundles of Love for the winter ahead. Each backpack is filled by hand and goes out with our Street Outreach Teams. Know someone who would want to be a part of Socktober? Share this post with them.
