Celebration is right around the corner and I wanted to remind you all to keep an eye out for items to donate to Celebration. We have had a lot of people ask what we need and the simple answer is ... everything! We are very short on items compared to last year. If you are able to donate your time/talent, please get a donation form turned in for that ASAP as well.

If you have a Facebook account, please search "Celebration - Church of the Holy Cross" and "Like" the page. We will soon start posting updates about electronic bidding and pictures of items being auctioned off.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Dear Parishioners, As we begin this Jubilee year of Mercy, I
think it is appropriate to point out some changes that were made to our Reconciliation rooms as part of the renovation. One door was removed, to be turned into a window, which brings more natural light into the room. A sconce is hanging near the door. When a priest is present for the sacrament, the candle in the
sconce should be lit. The window in the door allows you to see if there is already a penitent inside the Reconciliation room. When you leave the Reconciliation room, leave the door open, to indicate to others that the room is not occupied by a penitent.
Above, consider coming to the Reconciliation room once in a while. This sacrament enables us to experience God’s mercy.
Fr. Mike
