We had an urgent need last night for a dear couple who has been spending their summers in Ouray for over 40 years. They were on their way to Ouray from Colorado Springs last night and got caught in a snowstorm going over Monarch Pass. The roads weren't plowed and a truck hit them and pushed them into the ditch. A plow and tow truck finally arrived around 2.5 hrs later to pull them out and get them back on the road. However, there were no hotel rooms available anywhere in the area. Because of the late hour (the accident happened around 6pm) the bridge over Blue Mesa was closed so they were going to have to spend the night in their car without any blankets and just a jacket.

But God is GOOD!

We reached out to many churches in the Gunnison area via Facebook messenger late on Saturday night. Pastor Tom from Bethany Church was the first to respond and was able to open Bethany Church where this sweet couple spent the night.

There were many other churches who responded, and are still responding, to our call for help. It fills my heart with the joy of the Lord that the family of God is there to be helping hands in our hour of need!
