It’s going to be Pastor Satya’s last Sunday at Epworth.

It has been five wonderful years ministering to the people of Epworth and the community of Ottawa. And now it is time to say goodbye to Epworth. It is official now that Bishop Schwerin has set a new appointment for me in the Algonquin area. As much as I’m looking forward to begin the new journey and adventure it is a bittersweet moment to part our ways. However I can say wholeheartedly that the Lord has certainly blessed us abundantly in all the ways we did ministry together. By Gods grace we have grown in faith, bonded well, experienced grace and love; shared joy and generosity. I cherish all the good moments that we shared and carry those faith stories along my journey.
I celebrate the joyous moments and I grieve with those who are hurting and mourning.
May the Lord walk with us in and through our journeys.
May the Lord bless and flourish the ministries of Epworth UMC

Join us in prayer for all impacted by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the Mindanao region in the southern Philippines today. This was a strong earthquake, causing the deaths of at least 32 people and injuring hundreds. As the death toll continues to rise and as residents assess damage to homes and businesses, we pray especially for those who have lost loved ones and livelihoods.

UMCOR is coordinating with our Disaster Management Office (DMO) staff in the Philippines to provide aid and assistance to those in need. We will provide updates as soon as they are available.
