God gives every person free will… you’re free to believe or feel whatever you want. He doesn’t force anyone to love Him or accept His truth.
You can meditate, chase “higher consciousness,” feel moved by sunsets, or find community in atheist groups. Those things may feel meaningful, but they are not true spirituality.
True spirituality is not a vague feeling or self-made meaning. It is communion with the living God who created you. The Bible is blunt about this:
“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” (Psalm 14:1)
Atheism… even the “spiritual” variety… ultimately leads you to worship the creation (your own mind, emotions, or the universe) instead of the Creator. It’s like admiring a painting while denying the Artist exists.
You can call it “spiritual” if you want, but it’s a dead-end road that ends in emptiness. Many who’ve walked it (including former atheists) testify that the ache never fully goes away… until they meet Jesus.
If you’re seriously interested in knowing more, I encourage you to look up the testimonies of brilliant minds like C.S. Lewis, Lee Strobel, or Antony Flew, people who thought they could be “spiritual” without God until they encountered the real thing.
Or simply read the Gospels with an open heart. Jesus isn’t a religious idea. He’s a Person who rose from the dead and offers you actual forgiveness, purpose, and eternal life… not just warm fuzzy feelings.
You’re welcome to keep your spiritual atheism. But don’t be surprised when it leaves you hungry for something real. The God who made you is still calling.
