Pastor John returned on Sunday after his sabbatical break, with Pastor Jenny leading our Welcome Back service. It was a beautiful, but bittersweet morning as we excitedly brought John back into the ministry, but had to say our goodbyes to Jenny.

Sabbatical is such a beautiful gift to our pastor and likewise to our congregation. It has proven to be a time of rest and renewal for all!

So, John, we are so glad to welcome you back as our shepherd and are excited to hear about what God’s Next means to you. And, Jenny, we are so grateful for your leadership and friendship over the course of these last months. May God to continue to shower His blessings on you and your family.

What a great morning we had as we celebrated Pastor Jenny and her wonderful leadership during these past months of Sabbatical. Brunch is her favorite, so brunch was what we had! If you know anything about Presbyterians, we show our love with food, so bellies were stuffed and fellowship abounded.

Thank you, Pastor Jenny, for all that you brought to FPC! Jenny will preach again next Sunday before handing the pulpit back to Pastor John after his time of rest and renewal. Join us!

This Sunday we will honor and celebrate Pastor Jenny's shepherding of our church during our Sabbatical. No need to bring a dish to pass. The entire meal will be hosted by the Sabbatical Renewal Team, so just come with your appetites and prepare to give thanks to Pastor Jenny for her leadership during the past 4 months.

EDIT - Service has been moved inside due to the air quality warnings today. Service will still start at 10:25, but you don’t have to bring a chair. We have pews. 😉

We invite you to join us outside in the cul-de-sac for our Outdoor Worship Service at 10:25am. Soul Shine will lead us in music, with Pastor Jenny delivering the sermon. The community meal will follow at noon. Bring a chair and enjoy worship with us tomorrow!

Three cheers to James and Donna for all their hard work in preparing for and running our Talent Show today! We loved the fellowship, the skills shared, and time spent together. Our Prayer Walk on Sunday was such a special morning. We started here at FPC, then stopped at several locations around our downtown area to pray for those in our community who serve, whether it be our local PADS shelter, our police and fire department and the emergency workers, or our government both locally and nationally.

It was such a rich time of prayer and fellowship. ♥️

THIS SUNDAY - Join us for our Prayer Walk around the downtown area as we gather in prayer for our community and those who serve here. We will begin in the sanctuary at 9:30am and return around 10:45.

For those who would rather stay inside the building, we will gather in the sanctuary for our starting prayer, then head to the library for a slideshow of the stops the walkers will be on. We hope you will join us for this amazing morning together.

The first stage of the elevator stairwell and ceiling (and railing!!) is complete. So grateful to Karl and Don for their tireless efforts the past two weeks.

Some equipment may still be by the elevator tomorrow. Please be aware if you need to use that entrance for access. We ask that you avoid using that set of stairs tomorrow to allow the railings to have an extra day to dry, because of the heat and humidity.
