You guys, life can be so messy-relationships can hurt and experience serious growing pains. Weariness in trial after trial can bring you down- but beloved, that is only half of the story. God uses these things as tools for change and growth!

Just listening to a good podcast and this line struck me. We have all heard and seen the line "She believed she could, so she did." While this is encouraging, there have been so many times in the last couple years where I couldn't complete the task ahead of me without Him. WITH Him, it was more than possible. He is faithful. If He calls you to it, He will bring you through it!

I have been reading this book the last few months (learning to give myself grace in taking a long time to read one book), and I am amazed at how much Lysa conveys my exact goal and heart behind Loved Well Ministries. The more we know how fully we are loved by God, the better we can live. The crux of our entire existence hinges on these truths. More to come!

This will be a fight. But let’s enter that fight in 2017, eager to live for the glory of God and pursue what really matters."

Tonight, during his birthday dinner, we talked about the day he was born (as we do with all the kids on their birthdays). We also looked through a few pictures from those first few days and came across this one. And my little Noah wanted to reenact this moment. Made us laugh but also, made my heart stop in its tracks. Four years gone in the blink of an eye. Soon it will be 14 years gone and he will be leaving for new adventures. Before I can even imagine, the gift of these days of teaching, cuddling, and playing will take a new form. SO even though he was challenging today, I am going to soak up all of it- the good, the bad and the ugly- because it is fleeting.

Do you think he will want to reenact this at 40 years old!? ;)

This is hitting me hard today. If I look deep enough, I can see the roots of worry and bitterness trying to grow, trying to take hold of the healthy place of my heart and life. But to call these things for what they are- lies & unbelief- is so helpful in weakening their hold. Praying for TRUST and PEACE to replace any areas of WORRY and BITTERNESS today- pray with me for your own heart?

A favorite quote for over a decade now. Isn't it hard to be present in today's world? Between the demands of being a spouse, parent, friend, part of a church, working, hobbies, home, technology and so much more, it is no wonder we struggle to be still, and live truly in the moment and season where He has us.
Take a second today, close your eyes, shut out this world and tune your heart to God's voice. He's there. He wants to speak. Do we have ears to hear? Hearing His voice in your heart, through His word, during worship, and quieting your heart before Him enables you to be more present in your present. :) Wherever you are RIGHT NOW, BE FULLY THERE!

Ultimately, God's Word brings it again!! I noticed this morning that the first exhortation in this verse is to love God. All obedience and following and action is to flow out of this love. We love Him by His grace, pursuit and love for us first. And this love goes far beyond feeling and emotion- it is a deep-seated KNOWING of Him and who He is. Beloved, we love well because we are loved well. This is the entire heart behind Love Well ministries and my greatest aim is to live this and share this! Join me on this journey?? Adventure awaits!!!!
