Today in my time of praying for a sweet little girl who is in ICU I found scripture to send to her Momma out of Deuteronomy 31:8
The Scripture reads "And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
As I was reading this it made me truly look to all the struggles of life we are faced with. Whatever that struggle is for you whether it be health, finances, failed marriage/relationships, division in family, wounds of childhood, addictions, afflictions etc. GOD is making a promise that if you are HIS child (born again believer of HIS SON JESUS) then there is not one thing that comes your way that HE will not be by your side and see you through.
Now, we all know that when we are going through the storms of life it is not easy and we many times lose hope, give up, get depressed, anxious, fearful etc. These are all fleshly responses to whatever we are feeling at that time. For me, I can tell you that even though I am a follower of JESUS many times those responses arise and sometimes they have got the best of me.
Some will say well you are a woman of FAITH and you should be stronger than this and you know what, I can agree with them and yet I never had seen another way of handling things in life growing up it was either fight or flight and most of the time my examples were flight. I would fight but then when exhausted or felt defeated, I chose flight.
Today, I was reminded of the battles we are in or may face and how nasty those thoughts can be and where they can take someone if they allow them to take root and take over. My brother succumbed to those defeated thoughts at the age of 29 and decided to take flight to escape the suffering and pain and there has not been a day that goes by where I wish he had known how to fight in the moments he was overwhelmed by the storms he was in.
Today, I want to encourage you out of the Scripture found in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
I want you to look and see that your weapons of the warfare you may be in are not carnal/flesh. These weapons to fight are given to you from GOD through the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT that dwells in you, if you are born again believer/follower of JESUS. These weapons are MIGHTY not weak...they give you the ability to pull down strongholds, cast down arguments and take those defeated thoughts into captivity to the obedience of CHRIST. In order for you to see VICTORY through the struggles and storms of your life, you must find JESUS and receive Salvation and the indwelling and baptism of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT.
When you HAVE THEM...You will learn how to war and you will learn how to TRIUMPH over these things that will continue to come your way. They say when you become born again it is easy, not the case. You will see storms you never knew, walk through dark valleys, be tempted etc. However, the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT will be with you and will lead you and guide you in TRUTH and will empower you to overcome!
Don't quit, Don't give up hope, Don't lose your peace, Don't argue with your storms or your enemies, Rise up in JESUS and allow the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT to give you the mind of CHRIST.
We are often told our mind is the playground or battlefield of the enemy, well it's time to kick him off and out. He doesn't get the right to play or influence if you keep him out. Press in today and seek the LORD for HE truly does care about all you are going through and HE will never leave you nor forsake you even at the hardest hits of life.
