A Dream for Our Community: Dorothy A. Adams Pavilion Project
The First Baptist Church of Oswegatchie is excited to share a dream for our community — the creation of the Dorothy A. Adams Pavilion.
Our vision is to remove the old parsonage next to the church and transform that space into a beautiful outdoor gathering area featuring a covered community pavilion. This space would be used for fellowship, celebrations, educational garden programs, produce and food distribution for local residents, and as a welcoming place for neighbors to gather.
We hope to dedicate this pavilion in memory of Dorothy A. Adams, whose kindness, generosity, and love for others touched so many lives. Dorothy gave so much to hospital residents, families, and our community, and we feel this would be a meaningful way to honor her legacy for generations to come.
We are now beginning the journey of making this dream a reality.
The church is actively applying for grants and is also welcoming donations from individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who would like to help support this special project.
To recognize the generosity of those who help make this possible, we plan to install a permanent plaque honoring grant sponsors and donors of $100 or more.
Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer.
If you would like to donate, donations can be mailed to:
