A Mass of Hope and Healing

All are welcome to join Father Chris Hughes for a special Mass of Hope and Healing on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main Street, Centerville.

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be offered during Mass. Confessions will be available later that evening at the regularly scheduled Monday time of 6:00 PM.

This Mass is offered by our Cancer Support Ministry, a faith-filled community offering hope, prayer, encouragement, and companionship. We warmly welcome anyone who has been touched by cancer or another serious or chronic illness, including those newly diagnosed, in treatment, in remission, caregivers, family members, and friends.

Come and experience Christ’s healing presence through prayer, the sacraments, and the support of a caring parish community.

This weekend, we celebrate Pentecost, often called the birthday of the Church. Jesus refers to the Holy Spirit as the “Advocate.” The Latin word for lawyer is “advocatus.” Like a lawyer, the Holy Spirit defends and guides us. So, when you’re in trouble, don’t forget — ask for your lawyer, and do what he tells you.
