STRONG MOTHERS | STORY THREE⁣

Judith is the president of the jam project at Puerto Abajo CarePoint! She had four children who attend the CarePoint and this project has given her the opportunity to exercise her strong leadership.⁣

She supervises the other mothers who are part of the project and together they make strawberry, blackberry, and pineapple jam, and green hot sauce.⁣

Judith is leading her children (and other mothers!) by example. She says, "This project is a great opportunity to grow personally without having to travel out of our village. There are a lot of mothers in this community who do not know how to write or read, whose husbands don’t let them work. For them, this project has become a way to learn a skill and to bring some money home. In this project, we have learned to support each other and to encourage each other to work hard to achieve our dreams. With this experience, we are teaching our children how important is to be diligent and to work hard to change our lives and to not rely on drugs or gangs to strive in life."⁣

As we get closer to Mother's Day, join us in celebrating the mom's who work hard and empower other mothers to do the same!⁣

Our Story

We are a group of imperfect teens seeking to follow Jesus. To help each other grow in Christ, we meet on Sundays at 9:15 and Wednesdays 6:15-8pm. Join us!

Self-examination: Am I a follower of Jesus or a consumer of Jesus? Is my relationship with Jesus based on love for Him or based on what I can gain from my relationship with Him? Am I willing to pay the price to follow Jesus? ...especially when things get tough and I have to decide between worldly activities and following Jesus? Is Jesus really the Lord of my life? Is He the only one I worship or do I have other gods such as sports, fashion, beauty, money, popularity, academics, etc??? If I examine how I spend my time, what does it reveal about what or who I worship?
