A verse from the Bible Box, Psalms 16:6-9 "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. Vs 7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. Vs 8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Vs 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope."
From the Pastor's Desk, can you say the same thing despite life's twists and turns, joys and defeats, mountains and valleys. Along with life's total upsets, unasked for events, the abandonment and rejection? Such an experience is possible, and your hope is real.

A verse from the Bible Box, Luke 6:45 KJV "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."
From the Pastor's Desk, twice recently I was confronted with two people that I have spoken with, witnessed too, and prayed with, Both assuring me they are Christians. Both used foul, cursing, swearing words when speaking to me. I told them they needed to take a heart check, and quoted today's Bible verse. Jesus warns us not to be deceived, and let no man deceive you. Meaning we can deceive ourselves, or be deceived by others.
Do you need to take a heart check? What has been coming out of your mouth? If you find cursing, swearing, or the use of slang words coming out of your mouth, it originated in your heart. That means words like, gosh, darn, damn, the F word or friggin, fricken, OMG, or Oh My God, should not be used. Most times when OMG or Oh My God are used it is not in reference to worship or awe of God. Take the heart check. Don't be afraid to repent and ask God to forgive you.

A verse from the Bible Box. Matthew 25:11 KJV "Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us."
From the Pastor's Desk, this is what I will call one of the three most fearful events in human history. The first being in Noah's day when the Lord closed the door on the ark, and it began to thunder, lightning, rain, and the fountains of the deep opened up. The next is today's verse, when the trumpet has sounded, the rapture has taken place. Now people left on earth will realize that they missed it, and face the wrath of God. Fear is theirs as they face the awfulness of the tribulation. The third most fearful time is taken from Luke 16:22-23 "the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments." I don't believe too many people plan to go to hell, but wind up there anyway. If a person goes to hell, they go there as an intruder, that was not God's plan for mankind. Hell was created for the devil and his angels. Don't let fear grip you in the future. We don't know when the trumpet will sound and Christ shall return. Neither do we know the day of our death. Repent, turn to God, through the blood of Jesus Christ and be safe.

(Hab 3:19 KJV) The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

A verse from the Bible Box. 1Samuel 17:40, 49 KJV "And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine. Vs 49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth."
From the Pastor's Desk, This is the first account of a guided missile, and we see the rest of the story. Are you facing any giants in your life? Maybe it's time you join forces with God and let His guided missiles annihilate your enemy, trouble, or burden?
Did you also notice he took 5 stones? He wasn't taking extra in case he missed. He knew Goliath had four brothers, he was ready for battle. God is not limited neither are you. Join forces with God, do your part, believe, and God will deliver a guided missile.
