A verse from the Bible Box, 1John 4:1 KJV "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

From the Pastor's Desk, "Beloved," what a word, what an endearment, and what a privilege is ours to be called by that title. Take time today to think of what this term really means to you, Who you belong to, and the awesome responsibility that becomes yours. Be Spirit led, don't believe every spirit but try them. Pray for discernment. Be blessed to be "Beloved."

A verse from the Bible Box, Ezekiel 2:5,7 KJV "And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. Vs.7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious."
Romans 10:14 KJV How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

From the Pastor's Desk, God told Ezekiel what kind of people or congregation he was being sent to. In verse 4 God says "they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them,Thus saith the Lord GOD." It is the same thing for the New Testament Holy Spirit filled pastors and evangelists. How shall they believe, hear, and know without a pastor? We are to teach, instruct, and be faithful to God's calling. The results are left up to them by their choices and decisions. As a pastor it is a great delight to see people hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have also had those who were offended by the Word and left in a huff. Choices and decisions are still being made. Preachers stay faithful, committed, and anointed.

A verse from the Bible Box, Psalms 27:13-14 KJV "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Vs 14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."

From the Pastor's Desk, have you ever met with a dead end in your spiritual adventure? I have, it's disturbing, complex, and sometimes unavoidable. Have you ever had to wait in your daily christian life? I have. Sometimes for an answer to a prayer, a miracle, or just waiting. It's not always easy, but I have found the Lord is building faith, christian character, and patience. I have found waiting on the LORD, He adds courage and strength to my heart. Go and do the same thing.

A verse from the Bible Box, Hebrews 10:31 KJV "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

From the Pastor's Desk, the hands of God can be a desired, comforting, strengthening, and place of peace; or as in today's verse it can be a fearful place to be. If you have unrepented sins in your life, you are there. If you are sowing to the flesh, you will reap corruption, and you are there. If you are loving the world and the things of this world instead of loving Christ and His Kingdom, you too are there. Now is the time to do something about it. Repent and turn to Jesus and live for Him.

A verse from the Bible Box, Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created"…

From the Pastor's Desk, This is a conversion that I had with a person that believes in evolution. Me, "so you believe in evolution?" Them, "Yes, I do." Me, "may I ask you a question." Them, yes. How long has evolution been going on?" Them, " about six million years." Me, " mankind has been evolving for six million years?" Them, "yes." Me, "May I ask another question?" Them, "sure." Me, "if it has taken six million years to evolve, how did it happen that a bull and a cow evolved at the same time, a rooster and a hen, a male bird and female bird, a male fly or bee and a female fly or bee, a male plant or tree and a female plant or tree all evolved at the same time with the proper physical anatomy capable of producing its kind happen all at the same time to make that possible? A moment of silence. Them, I never thought of that. In our education system we have been taught to recite facts we have been informed with, or to learn to apply logic, (ability to think and question). Think about that a while. What do you believe? Me, Genesis 1:1.

A verse from the Bible Box, Mark 11:23 KJV "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."

From the Pastor's Desk, I believe this is an analogy, or a way of making a point, an example. Have you ever faced mountains that stood before you in your christian life? I believe we all have. I know I have. Jesus knew that we would and He is giving to us the method we need to follow. This is the way to answers to prayer, victories through insurmountable odds, and overcoming what looms before us as unconquerable. The next time that happens go ahead, pray believing and don't doubt, ask, say it, stand on Jesus' word and watch what happens.

A verse from the Bible Box, Jeremiah 6:16 KJV "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, Heb. (Derekh, crossroads, path, metaphorically one's lifestyle, moral choices) and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein."

From the Pastor's Desk, are you at some type of a crossroads in your life? If so, do as it says, see, and ask for the old paths. God will lead and guide you. Be obedient and walk in it and He has promised rest, free from anxiety, question and doubt. But in Jeremiah's day, they answered we will not. What will you do?

A verse from the Bible Box, Isaiah 62:6, "I have set watchman upon thy walls, O Jerusalem: they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah's remembrancers, take ye no rest."

From the Pastor's Desk, does that mean that God forgets and must be reminded? No, not all! They are reminding God of His covenant promises. Are you one of his remembrancers? There are people, family, loved ones, friends, and acquaintances that I have prayed for and brought their name before the Lord daily. Asking God to remember them and his promises. I pray for God to bless, protect, to strengthen, and provide for them. You may be one of them. If you are not one of God's remembrancers, become one.

A verse from the Bible Box, Psalms 68:19 KJV "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation." Selah.

From the Pastor's Desk, can you stop and think about the benefits that the Lord has blessed you with? Can you give Him thanks for them and enumerate them for Him? I believe you both will be pleased if you do so today.
