Tonight, on Christmas Eve, we pause before celebrating the greatest gift ever given.
And we want to share a story.
For the past 15 months, our ministry has lived on the ground in Western North Carolina after the storm. We didn’t come with comfort or certainty—we came with obedience.
We started out of a grocery store parking lot.
Later, a home was donated so teams could stay, pray, eat together, and go out each day to rebuild homes for families who had lost everything.
House by house.
Family by family.
We stayed.
As this season of relief was coming to a close, we believed our work here was finished. Then, just weeks ago, God led us to one final place.
A place built for children who need somewhere safe.
A place where many encounter God for the first time.
The storm caused deep damage—but it didn’t have the final word.
Believers came.
Volunteers showed up.
Cleanup happened.
Hope returned.
Yet even after all that faithfulness, the final needs remain.
Trees must be removed.
Cabins must be rebuilt.
Children are waiting.
In early January, two rebuild teams are arriving, ready to finish the work. This is the final assignment of this season before we return home.
Tonight, as we remember that God came to us first, we invite you to pray about helping us be His hands and feet one more time.
Not because it’s dramatic.
Not because it’s urgent.
But because this is what love looks like.
