First United Methodist Church Osceola

First United Methodist Church Osceola Organized Methodism first reached the Osceola side of Big Muddy some 200 years ago. Come fellowship and grow in grace with us! All are welcome.

We are steadfastly committed to continuing that good Gospel work in "high church" fashion with a Delta flare.

The Church is pleased to announce our second annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper with Calvary Epsicopal Church tomorrow, February 17th, from 5-7pm in our Fellowship Hall! Tickets are available at the door for $10, and while a to-go option is offered, we’d sure love it if you came and sat a while. Come hungry! We’ve got enough pancakes, java, OJ, and milk to set you right up for the Lenten Fast. So if you’re wondering what there is to do in Osceola on a Tuesday evening look no further. We can’t wait to fellowship with you!

Mark your calendars, February 12, 2026. You can reserve tickets at the link below.

The Church wishes to thank the office of the Mayor of the City of Osceola for hosting the annual Prayer Breakfast in which local clergy are invited to fellowship and pray for the state of the town in the upcoming year, all with a warm and hospitable meal provided. Mr. Cobbs is abounding in the hope of the Gospel: praying that this year may be one of repentance, acts of mercy, evangelism, and charity towards our fellow men and all of creation in this place which we call our beloved home. Happy New Year, and Happy Epiphany!

Are those sleigh bells I hear? Why YES! And they are making their merry way to the church this evening for the Arkansas Northeastern College’s Christmas Spectacular, which will be starting at our new time of ~~7:00PM~~ Be sure to show up early and get you a good pew as we prepare for the arrival of our God and King Jesus Christ. Everyone is invited to remain afterwards for a festive reception in the Fellowship Hall with select seasonal favorites, and all the warm company of kith and kin. That God may be glorified in this season of preparation.

"The Spirit continues to draw the church back to the core of the Gospel: love that both liberates and reconciles," writes Rev. Dr. Tércio Bretanha Junker in an editorial shared with United Methodist News .

Dr. Junker invites United Methodists to look for and root out the ways that fear is masked as faith. "Jesus never established a movement based on fear; he built a community of faith where love is stronger than death and hope exceeds despair."
