Bulow Woods Trail update: Tomoka Staff and volunteers recently replaced the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bridges from the north end. These bridges are a huge improvement and look great. Up next is the "twin bridges" area. Park staff are looking for options for the largest bridge over the wide Korona canal, which when finished will once again connect the nearly 7 miles from the Fairchild Oak to Bulow Plantation.

The portions open now are in good shape, slightly muddy but not too bad. In between the thunderstorms this time of year, there are some good times to get out on our trails right now. See you out there!

Beginning Wednesday, August 26, everyone is invited to a new ten-week Bible study: The Heart God Sees: Finding Faith, Failure, Leadership, and Grace in 1 Samuel - led by Fr. Paul Head

We will meet each Wednesday from 5:30-7:00PM in the Parish Hall, beginning with a potluck supper and fellowship. Afterward, we'll dive into the story of 1 Samuel - Hannah and Samuel, Saul and David, Israel's search for a king, and how God works through both faithful and deeply imperfect people.

Each week includes Scripture, a short RightNow Media video, teaching, and discussion. Together we'll reflect on what these stories reveal about prayer, leadership, discernment, faithfulness, failure, and God's grace.

Bring a dish to share, your Bible if you have one, and come ready for both supper and Scripture. Everyone is welcome!

Good morning everyone!

A heads up on two events which stood out for everyone -

1. We have a Holy Hospitality meeting this Sunday August 9th at 11:45 (yes, A.M. 😁) in the church annex. The committee will be discussing important and fun events for the second half of the year. We understand that many of you may feel pulled to ministry in some form, and this is an *EXCELLENT* opportunity to help and meet people! Everyone is invited, and we ask that you join even if you have no idea what Holy Hospitality does!

2. Fr. Paul and Fr. Wes have informed us that they are extending an invite to parents and children for dinner and fun activities on Saturday, August 22 from 5-6:30 PM in the Parish Hall. The intent behind this is to speak with those of you who may be interested in learning about their plan for Adult and Children's Sunday School (beginning on Sunday, September 13). Please plan to attend and meet with the clergy to support this ministry and help us launch our Sunday school program for the year! You can RSVP to Fr. Paul at 863-307-1432 or email him at [email protected] by August 16th and let him know how many adults and children will be in attendance.

Exciting things afoot, y'all! See you there!
