Our Story

COQUINA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (PCA)

Our Mission:
To serve a growing community of households in our neighborhood (both younger and also 55+ residents) who want to grow in their understanding and application of the teachings of Jesus Christ to all of the facets of their lives and relationships. Our Goals:
1. To Know our creator God as he has revealed himself in the Bible, and in the “Good

News” of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross for the sins of His people, and in the moment by moment work of Holy Spirit in those who have trusted in Jesus for their eternal salvation.(1 Thess. 2:13, Psalm 19, Matthew 1:22-23, John 1:1-3, )

2. To Grow in the love, knowledge and understanding of God that for thousands of years has made Christianity the most powerful shaper of flourishing and beautiful human culture in world history. (Jer. 9:24, 2Peter 3:18, Ephesians 1:17, Col. 1:9-12, 2 Thess. 1:3)

3. To Show the knowledge of God in:
--dynamic, reverent & joyful worship every Sunday,
--loving congregational fellowship throughout the year,
--enthusiastic “missionary activity” of our members in home and community, and
--the consistent exhibition of Biblical patterns of behavior in every facet of our lives, including self-image, marriage, parenting, family and neighborhood relationships, the pursuit of love and justice in our political environment, and every other element of wider human culture. (Mt. 5:16, 2Cor. 2:14, 5:20)
