In the opening of the Sefer Bamidbar (Book of Numbers), we find Israel in the ๐Œ๐ข๐๐›๐š๐ซ (wilderness). This place is not merely a geographic location but a spiritual state of ๐€๐ง๐š๐ฏ๐š๐ก (humility). To receive the Torah in the upcoming month of ๐’๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ง, we must become like a desertโ€”open, vast, and ready to be filled. HaShem commands a census, a ๐’๐žโ€™๐ฎ ๐ž๐ญ-๐‘๐จ๐ฌ๐ก (lift up the head), proving that every individual possesses ๐Š๐จ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ก (holiness) and a specific ๐ƒ๐ž๐ ๐ž๐ฅ (standard/banner) in the camp. As we ๐Œ๐ž๐ฏ๐จ๐ซ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ฆ (bless) the new month, we prepare our hearts for the revelation at Sinai. The wilderness strips away the noise, allowing the ๐ƒ๐š๐ฏ๐š๐ซ (Word) of Elohim to resonate with ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ข๐ฆ (life). We are called to transition from the chaos of ๐Œ๐ข๐ญ๐ณ๐ซ๐š๐ฒ๐ข๐ฆ (Egypt) to the divine order of the ๐Œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ค๐š๐ง (Tabernacle). Let us find our place in the ๐Œ๐š๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ž๐ก (camp) of the redeemed.

๐Œ๐„๐’๐’๐ˆ๐€๐๐ˆ๐‚ ๐‚๐Ž๐๐๐„๐‚๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐: In Romans, Paul speaks of "vessels of mercy" prepared for ๐Š๐š๐ฏ๐จ๐ (glory). Just as Israel was meticulously counted and ordered in the wilderness, Yeshua, our Good Shepherd, knows each of His ๐“๐š๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฆ (disciples) by name. He is the one who gathers the scattered of ๐˜๐ข๐ฌ๐ซ๐š๐ž๐ฅ (Israel) and brings ๐’๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ฆ (peace) to the disordered soul. Through Him, we are not just a number in a census, but a royal priesthood called out of the ๐Œ๐ข๐๐›๐š๐ซ into His marvelous light. He is the ๐„๐ฆ๐ž๐ญ (truth) that guides us through every dry season.
