On a crisp September morning, Stanley Praimnath left for work as he did every day. A church elder, faith was the anchor of his life. Yet before stepping out the door that morning, he felt led to pray an unusually specific prayer, asking God repeatedly to cover his family and bring them home safely. Stanley worked on the 81st floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center. After the North Tower was struck, he initially attempted to leave, but was advised the South Tower was secure. Returning to his desk at 9:03 a.m., he looked out the window and saw a Boeing 767 flying directly toward him at eye level.
In that terrifying moment, Stanley uttered a simple prayer: "Lord, I can't do this—you take over." He dove beneath his desk just as the plane impacted his floor. The explosion tore through his office, trapping him in darkness, fire, and rubble. Remarkably, his desk remained standing, shielding him. Beneath it lay his Bible. Injured and struggling to breathe, Stanley cried out: "Lord, send somebody to help me." God answered through Brian Clark, a fire warden descending from a higher floor with a flashlight. Hearing a voice crying for help, Brian paused his escape and crawled through the debris. Seeing Stanley’s hand reaching through a hole in the wreckage, Brian pulled him free. Together, they navigated the darkened stairwells, reaching safety moments before the tower collapsed. Stanley remains the only known person to survive from the South Tower's direct impact zone. In the years following, Stanley wrestled with a lingering question: Why me? He found peace in Psalm 91: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty."Stanley realized that God’s presence does not guarantee an absence of tragedy in this broken world, but it guarantees that we are never abandoned. In our darkest moments, when we cannot save ourselves, God is there—often reaching out to us through the hands of a neighbor.

DID YOU KNOW?
 Shirley Davis is recovering and rehabbing from a successful knee operation. We miss her on our singing and worship team.
 Gary Markle is healing from his surgery.
 Labor Day is tomorrow, September 7th.
 Our 25th anniversary of 9/11 is this Friday. "Victim 0001" Was a Shepherd on the Front Lines FDNY Chaplain Father Mychal Judge rushed directly into the rubble of the North Tower to pray over victims and minister to first responders. Moments after giving last rites to a fallen firefighter in the lobby, he was killed by falling debris. When his body was recovered, he was assigned the designation "Victim 0001," making the first official casualty of the attacks a minister of God who died directly serving others.
 343 firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, and 55 military personnel laid down their lives on September 11. Their sacrificial courage stands as a living demonstration of John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." They ran into burning buildings to save strangers, mirroring the selfless heart of Christ.

BITS AND PIECES
• "God gave us two ears and one mouth so we could listen twice as much as we speak.
• "Be quick to listen and slow to speak, mostly because being slow to listen makes you quick to look foolish."
• "Listening is a lot like tithing: it works best when you actually give 100% of your attention instead of keeping back a portion."
• "Loving your neighbor as yourself includes giving them your full bandwidth, not just waiting for your turn to broadcast."
• "Before you offer to be the light of the world in someone’s life, try turning down your own volume."

GOOD MORNING WEST OAK FAMILY
A Glimpse of Heaven’s Beauty

The Island of Santorini is one of Greece’s most captivating places. Its whitewashed villages cling to the towering cliffs of the caldera, appearing from a distance like snow resting upon the mountaintops. Surrounded by deep blue waters, Santorini is truly breathtaking. And then there are the sunsets. From the cliffs of the caldera, the sky comes alive with lilac, purple, yellow, orange, and crimson as the golden sun sinks toward the sea. Its light reflects across the water and surrounding islands.
It is breathtakingly beautiful. Yet as beautiful as Santorini may be, it is only a faint glimpse of the beauty awaiting those who belong to Christ. The New Jerusalem will be a city beyond our imagination, with gates of pearl, foundations adorned with precious stones, and streets of pure gold. There will be no need for the sun or moon, for “the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.” But the greatest wonder will not be the gold, pearls, or precious stones. It will be God Himself. “God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Perhaps when we finally see Heaven, we will realize that all the beauty we have ever known was only a whisper of what God has prepared for us.
Read Revelation 21 for more information about this glorious city.

GOOD MORNING WEST OAK FAMILY
BLESSINGS FROM BELOW
In 1991, a Vietnamese man discovered the largest known cavern in the world-the Hang Don Doong Cavern which had its own river, lake, jungle and climate. Only a few are allowed to tour it each year; but the pictures are breathtaking.
The globe beneath us is a marvel of God’s creative genius. As scientists learn more about the interior of our planet, they can’t mask their amazement. For example, Yes, Florida sits on top of the Floridan Aquifer System, a massive underground natural water reservoir spanning roughly 100,000 square miles beneath all of Florida and parts of Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina. In recent years, they’ve speculated that temperatures at the core of the earth are hotter than on the surface of the sun. They’ve also found a vast underground reservoir 400 miles beneath the surface, and it contains enough water to fill the earth’s oceans three times over. Think of all that God packed into our planet—oil deposits, coal, minerals, gold & silver & precious stones. Think of the soil, which provides a perfect medium for plants. Think of the layers of rock that allow us to construct our cities. Think of the fine-tuning below the surface that makes life possible above the surface.

As you thank God for the blessings from above, don’t forget to praise Him for the blessings under your feet. Thank Him for the Heavens and the Earth!
“In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the hills are His also”. Psalm 95:4

GOOD MORNING WEST OAKS FAMILY

HALLOWED BE GOD"S NAME

The word hallow means “holy, sacred, honored, and revered.” When we pray, “Hallowed be Your name,” we acknowledge the Lord’s sacred and holy presence. And nothing is more hallowed than the presence of the God who hears our prayers.
When vandals painted graffiti on large stones at Gettysburg National Military Park last year, the park’s staff restored the sites pronto. The park superintendent called them, “The heroes of this hallowed ground!”
One of the ways we can increase our appreciation for God’s hallowed name is by looking at the various names and titles given to Him in Scripture. He is the Ancient of Days, the Everlasting Father, the Great King, and the Lord Yahweh. He is the Maker of heaven and earth, our Rock of refuge, and our Hiding Place.
His various names and titles tell us we need Him in different ways at different times. Take time to ponder all aspects of God’s person, purpose, or power.
Each of God’s names means something so significant that it gives us a glimpse of His magnificent character and the way He acts.
One way to hallow God’s Name is by relinquishing control of our lives. When we yield fully to the Lord and allow Him to guide us, we hallow the Name of God. Make sure you are living in obedience to the Lord so your worship will expand your vision to think of what God can do through you. Don’t be afraid to say, “Lord, I am Yours. Do what seems good in Your sight, and give me complete resignation to Your will.”

BITS AND PIECES
**There is plenty of heavenly music for those who are tuned in.
**To hear truth and not accept it does not nullify truth.
**Some pray for more things than they are willing to work for.
**A dime is not exactly useless; it still makes a good screwdriver.
**The real problem of your leisure time is how to keep other people from using it.
**Those who expect salvation at the 11th hour often die at 10:30 p.m.
**It matters more what’s in a woman’s face than what’s on it.
**Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 6:1
**It’s a lot more fun to stop adding up your troubles and start counting your blessings.
