🍼➡️🍖 From Milk to Solid Food
Hebrews 5:14
“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
A baby is meant to drink milk but not forever.
In the same way, every believer begins with the basic truths of God’s Word. There is nothing wrong with being a spiritual infant when you’re new to the faith. The problem comes when we refuse to grow.
God is calling His people to move beyond spiritual infancy and into spiritual maturity.
Milk represents the foundational teachings of the faith.
Solid food represents deeper understanding, wisdom, discernment, and a life shaped by obedience to God’s Word.
Spiritual maturity isn’t measured by how long you’ve been in church. It’s measured by whether God’s Word has transformed how you think, speak, choose, and live.
Ask yourself:
• Am I still depending on others to feed me spiritually?
• Am I studying God’s Word for myself?
• Can I recognize truth from deception?
• Is my relationship with Christ producing wisdom and obedience?
Growth requires consistency. The more you spend time with God, the stronger your spiritual discernment becomes.
Don’t settle for remaining on milk when God has prepared solid food for you.
It’s time to grow. It’s time to mature. It’s time to feast on the Word of God.
