In this week’s Parasha Moshe (Moses), a prophet of G-d, spoke the words of the covenant which the L-RD commanded him to make with the Children of Yisra’el (Israel). These words were in addition to the covenant which G-d made with them at Mount Sinai/Horeb. Moshe (Moses) went and spoke to all of Yisra’el (Israel) before he died at the age of 120 years. Moshe explained to Yisra’el that the L-RD had told him that he would not cross over the Yarden (Jordan) River with them to take possession of the Land of Promise.

Therefore, G-d is able to do as He pleases with His land, and it pleased Him to set the Land of Yisra’el (Israel) apart from all other lands on the face of the earth for a purpose.
