Tomorrow is the day we've been waiting for since March!
We will have our first in-person meeting of the new school year at East River! But if you aren't on campus this year, you can also join us on Zoom!
This is going to be a WILD year and we can't wait to see you (or your student) tomorrow!

We are now just 1 WEEK away from students returning to East River for face-to-face instruction!

It feels like it has been FOREVER since we’ve seen people around campus! We are excited, but this is also just going to be a… well… WEIRD year.

So let’s embrace the weird! We invite you to pray with us for the health & safety of everyone who comes back to campus in just a few days.

Cru will be moving to an online format for at least the next few weeks.⁠⁠
So what does that mean?⁠⁠
We will have a weekly Cru "gathering" online using Zoom, Google Hangouts, or similar technology.
We will text those links every week, so sign up for the weekly texts if you haven't already.⁠ If you are or know a current student, please invite them to text "ERHS" to 84576.⁠
Cru will also have small group connections or studies during the week depending on if that's something we want.⁠⁠
This is going to be weird at first, so let's embrace the weird and have fun with it. We can't wait to see how God uses this time.⁠

On Friday, Cru at East River hosted our annual gingerbread competition...yep, that's still going strong 10+ years later!
As one student left, she said, "This has been the best day since I came to high school!"
Thank you to everyone who has been involved with this ministry, prayed for our leaders & students, and who helps us tell teenagers that God loves them and so do we.

Cru at ERHS is back for the 2019-2020 school year!
On Friday during A & B lunches, students will be gathering for the first time to catch up on each others lives from the summer and the start of the school year.
And after school, we will be giving away hundreds of ice cream bars to students as they board their buses to go home for the weekend. Kind of a grab-n-go some of God's love event.
Please be praying for these students, our teachers and volunteers, and our staff as we get ready to kick off the new year.

On Friday, the home of two East River High School students caught fire and was severely damaged. One of the teens just graduated from high school on Monday.

If you can help them get settled in any way, please click the link below or you can drop off donations to the school of any of the following items:

- Dog Food
- Gas Cards
- XL in shirts for teen boy and dad
- Medium to large shirts formom
- Small to medium shirts for teen girl
- Size 13/14 shoes for boy, size 9 ½ for dad, Size 8 to 8 ½ for his mom and girl
- Socks & undergarments
- Gift Cards for food and small items that will be needed
- Food/drinks of any kind. Right now, they have no items to cook with.

May 24, 2019 my family and I suffered an electrical fire at our home around noon. We have a lot of electrical damage, water and smoke damage, no ceiling or roof around the back side of the house.and kitchen and it is no longer safe for us to stay. Please help us raise funds for repair, anything...

Meet Danny! He is one of our volunteers that we see every week at Cru.
He graduated from ERHS and then went to UCF for sports & exercise science, and enjoys carb loading on spaghetti & meatballs.
Why do you Cru? -- "I want others to know the truth of the gospel. That it is full of love and grace for sinners (ALL of us). I've seen so many people feel "unworthy" of God's love and I need people to know how loved they truly are."
