As we look at the headstones and reflect the profound earthly sacrifice made by those who gave their life to protect others, Scripture reminds us that "greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13).We do not despair. We trust that God is the ultimate judge and history is moving toward His perfect Kingdom, where pain and suffering will be no more. Where we will glorify God together in his glory.

Memorial Day invites us to pause our busy lives and reflect on our brave men and women who laid down their lives to protect their friends, family, and even strangers, and to thank God for the preservation of our temporary home and ultimately look forward to our eternal home with our Lord.

God bless the families of those who serve and have served 🇺🇲
