Church family,

Someone reminded me this morning that God is good, no matter what! Now that’ll preach!

God is always good and his character is perfectly consistent. So during life‘s roller coaster, let’s cling to the perfectly consistent One who loves us tremendously and nothing can separate us from His love.

Even though many of us are experiencing trials, we are also experiencing God‘s goodness through His blessing, His faithfulness, the revealing of His character, and breakthrough!

Let’s continue to cling to Him and conclude throughout the day and week “only God!” His way, His timing, His plan! God is on the move. Let’s make sure we are prepared to steward His move for His glory!

THE RISEN KING! He CAN obliterate this cancer THING!! (The medical team God has put around me believes this!!)

Medical update:

I had a great first session of radiation treatment today and can’t wait for the results to be seen at the next scans within a couple months.

Thank you for the continued prayers!! They are making an IMPACT!!

Here’s a pic of the shirt I wore today and the team said this: “the Risen KING” and we believe He’s obliterating this cancer THING!!

Praise report: I’m talking and walking as normal, so functionality is still good following this first radiation focused on the midbrain area!! Praise the Lord!! More results in 1-2 months after the next scans. The waiting game is hard, but it’s part of the equation, right? Let’s continue to embrace Is 40:31:

“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Church family,

Faith in Christ, faith in Christ, faith in Christ! Faith in Christ = EVERYTHING! God granted Abraham righteousness because of his faith in Him (Romans 4:3). Since Christ, we are granted righteousness because of our faith in Christ (Romans 5:1)!

Let’s always place our faith in Christ and we are promised ALL that comes with that faith (forgiveness, heavenly home guaranteed, life, purpose and so much more)!

Here is the latest update from pastor Nathan Wilder as of 6:40am Wednesday June 10th:

Team Jesus, medical update: I/we need your prayers again! The medical team God has put around me need your prayers again!

The cancer seems to be growing towards the mid part of the brain which run’s the risk of impacting functionality. I start another treatment of radiation on this sensitive part of the brain at the end of this week and we are still praying that God stops this growth and cuts out this cancer. God, thank you for the medical team and resources you put around me and all of us that is such a testimony of the stewardship of your healing provision and healing power!

I’ve committed from the beginning of my journey to find ways to give God glory, no matter what, simply because He is good, no matter what! The Truth is He is better than good and we are better than good because of who He is, His provision of love with Christ and who we are in Christ! Our circumstances never changes His character and His goodness!

Let’s trust in His character, even before His provision, as a testimony of faith that will point the world to Christ! When we do this, on the other side of the faith step, when God shows up, the only conclusion is: “Only God!” In other words let’s claim God‘s faithfulness before He proves faithful again! And His faithfulness will be made known!

In aligning with God‘s Word, I claim victory in Christ in the now and the forever, and because God is pro life in the now and in the forever, I will fight and battle and believe all the way for healing in the now while already knowing I’m healed in the forever.

Because we have a shelf life on this earth and limited time to accomplish His callings/goals on this side of heaven, I will continue to fight this brain cancer diagnosis to be the husband God has called me to be and the dad that God has called me to be and the preacher / minister that God has called me to be and the employee that God has called me to be and the Christ follower that God has called me to be and the anything else God has called me to be! I am 100% sold out to His Script for my life which includes encouraging anyone who will listen along the way to give their hearts to Christ and trusting Him with all outcomes! And enjoying His personal intimate presence along the way that is unmatched by anyone or anything else in this world!

So, thank you for your prayers as we move through this next season of radiation on the mid part of the brain!

Please hear me when I say this on the front end of this next radiation treatment season:

My identity is in Christ and it’s not this diagnosis!

My identity is in Christ, even if my functionality changes!

My identity is in Christ, even if I have to preach and talk differently!

My identity is in Christ, even if I have to move around differently!

My functionality may change, but my identity doesn’t! Praise Jesus!!

My family and I love you and are forever grateful and let’s keep this going for the glory God ALL THE WAY!

Church family,

Life seems to be more of a marathon than a sprint doesn’t it?!

The reality is as our weeks and months go by we experience ups and downs, and everything in between, which is why like a marathon we need to rely on Christ for strength, endurance, perspective, and to move step-by-step as He leads us.

Sometimes there are sprint moments where we have to move fast during the day and it feels like we are in the middle of a sprint and on repeat doing some things every day. These are the times that we need to find time to rest and to make sure we are looking at the daily activities through God‘s eyes with His purposes.

Faithfulness is key whether we are in a sprint or a marathon. And God will meet us on the other side of our faithfulness with His provision, in His timing, in His way!

Church family,

As Pastor Bill said on the church wide “all call”, let’s continue to keep each other in prayer. Let’s continue to encourage each other because God is clearly on the move!

Sometimes we may not see Him move, or may not feel His move, but He is always on the move. Even when we don’t see it, even when we don’t feel it, He’s orchestrating in the background - and He will reveal His faithfulness in His timing.

So let’s hang on to the character of God during good times and during the not so good times. Let’s enjoy the front row seat to His plan and His power happening right before our eyes on full display!
