Have you ever considered using Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to share God’s love in Jesus Christ with friends and neighbors? I’ve recently published a tool that I think will be helpful in doing exactly that. The (Little) Book of Love: The Story of God and You is a concise presentation of the Gospel message. It isn’t much larger than a Valentine’s Day card, and can be read in about thirty minutes. This little book is designed to be given as a gift to “pre-Christian” people who would want to know more about the love of God.
This book can be a very effective instrument to help fulfill the Great Commission and share God’s love in Christ. My hope is that individuals and churches will give the book freely to friends, neighbors, guests and more. While The (Little) Book of Love would be great to give out at any time, it would be perfect for an outreach around St. Valentine’s Day. There is space on the cover for a label that could say something like:

Near the end of the book is a suggested prayer for those who would like to begin or deepen their love relationship with God, followed by encouragement to find Bible-believing friends who will support readers as they grow in this relationship. There is space on that page for a label like the one suggested above, or a hand-written inscription.
Amazon, following their own policies, charges $5.50 per copy + shipping and handling. However, I am much more interested in getting the Good News out to people than in profit. (And “helpful” could mean “life-changing.”) However, I think the most effective format will be the attractive paperback version.
An earlier version of The (Little) Book of Love, in a home-made pamphlet format, was distributed by the small church I served before I retired as pastor. A number of people read it and told us how it sparked or fanned their faith. I hope you and I will help each other share God’s love in Jesus Christ with the people in your sphere of influence.
