Volunteer of the Month: Alyssa Duemmling
“One of my favorite things serving in the children’s ministry is seeing the kids grow in their faith over the years. I loved working with the older grades and seeing the children make the decision to be baptized, and I love working with the younger kids as well and seeing where they are starting, etc. I’m loving being a buddy for my special needs friends and really feel the Lord has given me a gift and I’m happy to be using it to glorify Him.” - Alyssa
In every ministry, there are individuals whose dedication and love make a lasting impact, and Alyssa is one of those special people in our children's ministry. For many years, Alyssa has served faithfully, offering her time, talent, and love to children of all ages. Whether she was teaching or assisting, Alyssa has consistently shown up with a heart full of compassion, ready to make a difference. Currently, Alyssa is serving in our Pre-K class, where her unique gift of working with children with special needs shines. She has a special way of connecting with each child, no matter their challenges, and takes the extra time to make sure every child feels seen, heard, and loved. Alyssa’s patience, kindness, and understanding are evident in the care she gives—whether it’s helping a child through a challenging moment or celebrating their growth and success. Her gentle approach and ability to adapt to each child’s needs allow her to meet them where they are, fostering an environment of love and learning. Alyssa, your heart for service and dedication to our little ones is a blessing to all of us here at CCO. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of the children. We are so grateful for you!
