How do you share your love with Christ through music?

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we love music, and we love sharing that music! We know that having good, Christian music that even youth will love is important, so every year, we have a festival!

This year, the prerecorded concerts have audiences all over the world! God loves all of His children, so He spreads His gospel in all languages. Festival: A Youth Concert, is an opportunity for youth everywhere to gather and strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ through music. We can even listen to these songs and more through an app that has specifically Christian music.

In the scriptures we learn that our Father in Heaven loves us so much that it's more likely for the mountains to depart than for His love for us to end. All that our Heavenly Father does is because of His infinite and great love for His children.

How do you feel God's love?

How have you been healed by Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ has not stopped performing miracles! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

When we have faith like the woman with the issue of blood in the Bible, we can experience miracles of healing, we can receive comfort, and we can move mountains. God knows each one of us individually and will make us whole.

What even is the Sacrament?

The sacrament consists of 2 parts: the bread and the water. Both represent Jesus. Every week at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, bread and water is broken and blessed, and passed around the meeting room for every congregant to partake of. It is quiet, peaceful, and meditative. Why do we do this? Not only is the sacrament the most important thing we do at church every week, but it is a symbolic ritual of renewal. Just like baptism, taking the sacrament reminds us of our promises with God. It is a reminder of why we are here-- and what really matters. As we partake of the Sacrament, we are partaking of our Savior.

These are the prayers with which the sacrament is blessed:

Bread
O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen. (Moroni 4:3)

Water
O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this [water] to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen. (Moroni 5:2)

Who do you turn to when you need comfort?

We know that the source of peace is Jesus Christ. Everyday, we strive to become closer to Him, but sometimes we can feel far from his love.

God's living prophet on the Earth today, President Russell M. Nelson, gave us words of comfort on how to stay close to Jesus Christ and be able to be confident in the comfort we can find.
He finds the failsafe answer in Doctrine and Covenants 121:45
“Let thy bowels … be full of charity towards all men, … and let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly; then shall thy confidence wax strong in the presence of God.”

As we increase in charity and virtue, our confidence in the Lord grows stronger. We can have more faith and more comfort in times of need.

If you owned a grocery store, what would you call it?

Well, you would probably name it after yourself. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same way. Jesus Christ is the most essential part of everything the church does, and we are led by Christ himself. As a church, we must live up to that holy name. How can we become more like Jesus? There is no such thing as perfect people, but as we earnestly do our best every day to love everyone around us, we are following the perfect example that we have in our Savior Jesus Christ.

Does it feel like there are so many mountains in your life that you cannot move? ⛰️

Jesus Christ taught that with faith in Him, we can move mountains!😃
In Mark 11:22-23 we learn "Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."🙏

We know that God never changes, we learn this in The Book of Mormon, which works with the Bible to testify of Jesus Christ. ✨️ In Moroni 10:7, we learn an important truth. "And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever." 🙌

Does it ever seem like miracles have stopped?

God did amazing things before He came to Earth. He did amazing things while He was on the Earth. He continues to do amazing things! God loves us so He will always provide, all we have to do is give Him a small offering. Sometimes that looks like a loaf of bread, sometimes it is a faithful prayer.

Elder Lockwood's story is a beautiful reminder that God's love is always near, even in the simplest moments 🙏❤️. His testimony shines a light on the importance of feeling the Spirit's guidance and comfort in our lives. As it says in Romans 8:38-39, 'For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.' 🌟 Share with us a time when you felt God's love in your life!
